Snoop Dogg, 52, will carry the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis, the northern Paris suburb that is home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium, the town's mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, said on X. What the women's team has accomplished is nothing but remarkable in such a short time. Australia won the World Series of Sevens this year, so that was no small feat.

Now they're regularly state and and have also been national champs and runner up to national champs. And unlike back in the day the national champs are in fact decided by a nationwide tournament. They frequently travel to Europe and beat premier junior sides in places like Ireland and France. We are a decade away from a competitive rugby scene on the global stage. There's a junior rugby league from prek to 8th grade in Cleveland now that's very popular. It has teams all over the region that play at Ignatius for their games. Once my kid can walk he will be playing.

Once my kid can walk he will be playing. wow thats great to see rugby blowing up at the youth levels like lacrosse did. i had no idea. i think this is in part why the big four pro sports struggle with attendance and old neighborhood park ballfields are empty. people have other sports interests.

Ya. Look at pickleball as an example to that. Though pickleball is so popular you see parks getting rid of entire swaths of tennis courts to build pickleball courts. I wouldn't be surprised to see pickleball as a test sport in the 2028 Olympics.
