Posted September 6, 2024Sep 6 I noticed that current events appears to be missing. Is it on time-out during election season? Just curious if it will come back at some point (or if I am just not looking hard enough).
September 6, 2024Sep 6 You should have access to it. Try: https://urbanohio.com/forum/36-current-events/

(The intention being to avoid randos coming in and derailing conversations.) When is the last time I-71 turned a profit?

December 2, 2024Dec 2 am I the only one who thinks the current events section is a net-negative for this forum? it breeds resentment and, honestly, only serves to lower the credibility of everyone who regularly posts in there. I popped in this morning after not looking at it for several years, and it's just as ugly as it ever was.

If you don't have dedicated space for it, it pollutes the regular topics ad nauseum. You would see people shoe-horning the political posts into other topics. You can ignore the current events section if you aren't interested in it. The Admins can even ban you from current events if you'd prefer to not be able to access that part of the site at all.
December 2, 2024Dec 2 There are enough other forums for political comments. Don't need to do it here.

December 3, 2024Dec 3 Most important part of the forum. Who knows, in a few years I may dump NEOtrans for a geopolitical blog. In fact, I've already started developing one. I share news but I don't engage in debates because I'm no expert at anything except finding news (OK, maybe some choo-choo stuff).
