2 ½ years ago, I moved into my house in the Pendleton neighborhood of Cincinnati. Garbage is collected on my street on Monday mornings. Every Sunday night, I sit my garbage can out on the curb. For the first few months, the city missed my garbage collection intermittently, maybe 1-2 times per month, and I'd have to file a Missed Garbage Collection request via the city's 311Cincy app. As time has gone on, the city has been missing it more often, and it's now at the point where it's not collected at all. I don't even know if a garbage truck is actually going down my street. Recently, the city has even been closing my Missed Garbage Collection tickets with the status of "Not Out" even though my can is still sitting at the curb full of trash.

I have had numerous email interactions with the city's 311 customer service via email, and it's always the same generic "we're sorry your garbage collection was missed" response. I have repeatedly told them this happens almost every week, I'm not sure if they are skipping my street or not looking for my can, etc. They eventually replied with "I have opened a service complaint ticket with the Public Services Department who manage trash collection" but I have never seen any improvement or heard any updates.

I have also emailed both the City Manager and the Mayor with a very polite email with all of the relevant details, and have not received any response.

I'm at a loss for what to do next. Any ideas?

I would also recommend reaching out to a couple of city council members. They have direct access to the administration, and can probably get this flagged for the people who can help.

go to a City Council meeting and speak to it verbally and submit a written timeline of the communications and missed pickups.  Seeing a face seems to be more effective since the Council probably never hears of the issue.

I'd recommend reaching out to either Jeffries, Walsh or Cramerding.

Absolutely! Try contacting your City Council rep directly or posting on social media with photos. Hope it gets resolved soon!
