Posted April 23, 200619 yr Why not? People seemed to have nice things to show for autumn and winter, and now it's springtime! First smartass to post a metal coil as a "spring" picture is going straight to hell. I don't have much for this season yet, but here are a couple from this morning. It was the first day of the season for the weekly Farmers' Market in Madison. Random crowd picture: Still awaiting some of the greenery here as you can see, but we're almost there! Let's see what you've got!
April 23, 200619 yr None really from this year - but here's a Cincinnati in Spring thread from last year: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=2837.0
April 23, 200619 yr Ah, I'd forgotten about that thread- very beautiful! Is it too late now for all those nice flowers this year? If so, I hope somebody got some pictures. I know we've already seen a few spring pictures from Cincinnati this year, so hopefully people will come by here and repost them. I have a few from Cincy last year, too... don't feel like searching for the thread, so here they are.

April 23, 200619 yr For the past two weeks I have been walking past signs of spring en route to classes, etc., swearing that I wouldn't take any pictures. When you posted this, I thought this would be the last thread I'd ever contribute to, but walking back from church today, huming the closing hymn, Go My Children With My Blessing, it just felt right. So here you go, some lousy, unedited shots, just so I can get this out of my system:
April 24, 200619 yr Spring arrives at Shaker Square last year. Man I miss that market. And the prettiest place in Cleveland in the spring (also from last year)...
April 24, 200619 yr Nice shots everyone! Thanks for posting them. Here's one more that's similar to the one at the top of the thread.
April 24, 200619 yr Continuing the flower theme..... Taken in March, though not for the flowers. This explains why:http://www.roadfan.com/rpw.html
April 24, 200619 yr My favorite season is fall (for Ohio I mean). Spring comes in second. I love the weather right now..not too hot, not too cold. Just out of curiosity do any of you guys have to lay in the grass while you take some of those flower pics? lol I can't imagine it being possible any other way.
April 24, 200619 yr Searching through my archives... Here are some spring-y pictures from Delaware, Ohio last year. Flowering trees on Sandusky St. A couple of Ohio Wesleyan shots
April 25, 200619 yr Wow you even managed to get Spring St in there, how appropriate. I am assuming it is named because there is a spring somewhere, this is the reason for Oxford's Spring Street, but the university put in drainage and eliminated the spring in the 30's so most assume the name comes from the season.
April 25, 200619 yr ^ Now that you mention it, the street might be named for the Sulphur Spring, since it does head toward it. Somehow I never made that connection in my mind!
April 25, 200619 yr Sorry to bombard the thread with individual posts, but I keep coming across pictures from my collection. Here's a nice mix of seasons from exactly a year ago: April 24, 2005. (Okay, I realize it's past midnight and technically the 25th now in Ohio, but for the next 13 minutes it's still the 24th in the Central time zone, so screw you all!) Anyway, a late season snowfall:
April 27, 200619 yr very nice pb, tuilips and spring sure do go together. ahhhh yesss, sweet springtime comes to brooklyn: here's a better one for brooklyn, the cherry blossom festival bonus: look in the middle of this long island city queens googlemap -- i wonder if he/she saw it? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=New+York,+NY&ll=40.744499,-73.954484&spn=0.001376,0.00339&t=h&om=1
April 30, 200619 yr One of my favorites from last year (April 25, 2005 to be exact) with two seasons in view:
March 18, 200916 yr Spring in Fort Wayne's West Central Neighborhood (partial reprise of another post): I'm just being a smartass, but I'm not going straight to hell because I've already been there and back a couple times, and I didn't like it much.
