sounds a bit odd, but good luck to them. at least they are being collaborative and retooling the old hospital downtown as well as reusing it --- instead of just doing this kind of thing on the main college campus.

LORAIN -- Lorain County Community College is negotiating a contract to bring a nationally known culinary school to the St. Joseph Community Center in Lorain.

 

 

The county is working on a financing plan to open the doors to the new school by fall 2007. The project, known as the Culinary Arts & Gateway Development, is critical to the Lorain landmark's future, according to Lorain County Administrator Jim Cordes...

LORAIN -- Plans to bring a renown culinary school to downtown Lorain have fallen through, according to officials, but work is still being done to bring another culinary program to the area.

 

''There's still a need for it (a culinary school),'' said Marcia Ballinger, vice president of strategic and institutional development for Lorain County Community College. ''It's the college's plan to find an alternative approach than what was originally envisioned.'' ...
