UCPlanner took me up to his hometown and gave me a little tour last week.  Here is what we had time to visit during the brief tour (50 min).

I love the electric lines that the buses use throughout downtown Dayton:

Next time, let him show you the central-city neighborhoods like Oregon, St Anne's, Twin Towers, SouthPark, Wright-Dunbar, and University Row/Dayton View/Grafton Hill.

But I see you got your Courthouse Square on!

Very good tour, really shows the good parts of d-town. I haven't been downtown in about a year and a half and so it was kinda cool for me too. We actually traveled a pretty long way in 50 minutes. . . It was a rushed tour, but a good one!

we didn't have enough time to do everything...next time we head up there i will definetely show him more of the city....just a little rushed

Very nice!  Dayton looks great in those shots.  Last time I saw it was in the less lively winter.

Those 'hoods that ColDay mentioned must look very nice in this season.  Hmmm... I may have to pay a visit when I'm home in a couple weeks.

I am more than happy to join your tour, UCPlanner and UncleRando.  Just give me advanced notice.

whew - did you sprain your shutter finger?  very nice - not overly familiar with right downtown Dayton - great look around (liked the homage to the canal and schuster center interiors)

Great mini-tour of downtown.....you got some really nice pics of the Dayton Arcade in the background.

Wow, much more extensive than I expected when I read "quick tour"

Nice job.

nice job. i love the bus wires and wire pix too.

my sis-in-law went to the greatest rawk tour show ever here, kiss opening for queen in like 1973!  :banger:

I love the wire shots too... Dayton in the spring is great.

I want to go to Dayton now. Great shots.

Visiting Dayton is a very enjoyable way to kill a day.

When visiting Dayton, don't miss the Art Institute. I think it's one of the best in this part of the country, especially for a city Dayton's size. Exhibit space, exhibits, building exterior and setting are all first-rate, and from there you get a good overview of the river and the downtown.

the porno shop/church supply shot is fabulous!  LMAO.  The church folks are most likely to be the biggest spenders in the porn store.

Not necessarily so. They just wait until it's dark out and the church supply store is closed.
