May 11, 200619 yr Good tour -- Beach kitsch is fun. My granddad would have been impressed with the Lexington. The ship he served on (1901-1904), the USS Pensacola, was primarily powered by steam, but still had masts and sails. He didn't see WWII, because he died at age 61 from a fall just a few months before the the attack on Pearl Harbor.
May 12, 200619 yr Aircraft carriers are absolutely breathtaking in size. I toured one in NYC and you just can't grasp how big they are until you actually see it for yourself. Good tour :-D
