Posted May 24, 200619 yr The Northside-College Hill Kiwanis Club is sponsoring a Memorial Day Service to be held at Wesleyan Cemetery on Monday, May 29th beginning at noon. The principal speaker will be Jessie Willingham, a Korean War Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart. The Kiwanis Club is trying to revive the tradition of having a Memorial Day Service at Wesleyan Cemetery now that the future of the cemetery is definitely brighter. There hasn't been a service of this sort in Wesleyan Cemetery in years. Wesleyan claims to be the final resting place of veterans of every armed conflict the US has been engaged in. That claim was made prior to Afghanistan & Iraq, tho.
