May 25, 200619 yr yay, i've been hoping to see some wvu monorail action up on here someday -- it's purdy cool!!!
May 26, 200619 yr Great photos! Those towns all look like more than I expected. I've heard Washington has a first-rate operating trolley museum; it's been on my list of places to visit for a long time.
May 26, 200619 yr Have we seen Brownsville before? Evergrey? This is about the sixth new thread today, it is a GOOD day.
May 26, 200619 yr Those monorails at WVU were the prototype for the ones that they used in disney. They are kina cool to ride, it has its fair share of problems. Breaks down for some random reason, be it racoon dies on the tracks or storm knocks out the power, then getting stuck inside for a couple of hours. They are what I picture what would happen when people have those pipe dreams of single passenger mass transit, and I have ridden those monorail cars enough to know its hardly feasable.
May 27, 200619 yr when the best thing colday can say about a city is the presence of a krispy kreme.........
November 6, 200618 yr Brownsville is sad. I live near there. Everything is out of business in the lower section.
November 18, 200618 yr I too missed this thread. Great stuff ColDay. I did a tour of the first three when I went to the first mega-meet in Columbus (that's been years ago now). Guess your pics have intrigued me enough to check out Brownsville some day too. Thanks.
