Mason plan taking longer than expected

 

It's been nearly a year since city residents and business owners were invited to grab colored markers and scrawl new roads, houses and businesses, green spaces and bike paths onto large maps of Mason as part of the comprehensive plan's public input sessions.

 

Leaders estimated at the end of 2008 that a draft of a new comprehensive plan for the city would be released this spring. With that deadline passed, city planners now say the topic will resurface this fall.
