I'm not fond of Greenville's courthouse, but the town is still quite prosperous with a good many local industries and a pretty vital downtown.

If I remember correctly, Greenville's main street ends in an interesting circle.

Also I remember a water pump in the middle of the road a few miles away from Greenville. There were no curbs, no barriers, no warning signs or anything but just an old iron pump in the intersection.

Thanks for the photos.

Yes, there is a circle on the northern end of Main St. I remember that town quite well back in the day. It was a HUGE weekend cruising strip back in the late 80's - early 90's.

I think the courthouse is pretty fabulous, myself.

I kind of like it, too.

Hello

I have been lurking around for some time. This is a very interesting site. It is interesting to find many with similar interests than I. I am intrigued with local history, mainly relating to cities and the buildings within. It is nice to see that others are concerned with preserving Ohio's urban areas and towns, as well as improving them. I would like to compliment the excellent photography posted here and the good information.

I thought I would introduce myself in a thread about my hometown, Greenville, Ohio.

Here are some good historic pictures of this street...
