So it seems like the railroad isn't opposed to the idea - Franklinton should definitely get the same treatment I'm going to try to get the proper contacts with the city and then rail companies and see if I can get that moved forward. I might reach out to Brett Kaufman about it as well.

If it can help bring more people to that area, great!

It's cool and all but... basically nobody will see it. Well it's still mostly a giant billboard built on top of a building. There's not offices or anything in the triangle tower. But if you're a media company that specializes in giant billboards and signs then it's a pretty smart move.

These projects are doing a pretty good job of building density and keeping things close. I still think it’s weird that they did such a good job making the parking garage look decent, but just left the top a horrible boring heat desert. Developers need to put greenery and make them look good.
October 28, 20231 yr Meh, I'm much more concerned with the 4 sides I can see as a citizen and less with one I can only see on Google maps. But there should probably be some city incentives to add solar panels on top of all parking lots, but particularly garages. Makes more sense than putting them on agricultural land.

Yeah that portion was basically a brand new addition that the motorcycle shop had just finished. I don’t think they even used it for more than a year before they sold it. I’m glad they got creative with it and found a useful way to incorporate it. Hopefully Kaufman keeps buying up land in that area. There is a building on May Ave that I would love for them to renovate and incorporate into a new development. this was like 3 years ago, but I feel it’s still there.

It will feature about 4,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, a row of townhomes along the back of the building, and an internal parking garage with space for 183 cars. Parish said that the next step for the development will be applying for building permits, and that construction on the building could start as soon as September. Has anyone heard an update on this? Obviously September was a quick timeline turnaround, but I was really hoping to see this move forward this year.
