November 28, 20231 yr Harriet's Hope apartment project in Franklinton will give human trafficking victims housing, supportive services A new development is ready to provide survivors of human trafficking with safe, affordable housing. Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority and Columbus-based Beacon 360 Management recently wrapped up construction on Harriet's Hope, a 52-unit, $15 million project in Franklinton. We're not publishing the address in order to protect the safety of residents. Scott Scharlach, CMHA's chief operating officer, said the state of Ohio has more calls into the human trafficking hotline than almost any other state, which demonstrates a need for this kind of housing. "This is a unique solution to a problem that could be replicated," Scharlach said. "If someone is going to succeed, it's going to be here." November 29, 20231 yr No actual details on the tenant, but at the Franklinton meeting today they presented plans for the Solazzo building and said there is a tenant and they are ready to get it built out. December 7, 20231 yr Land-Grant's Adam Benner talks ice bumper cars and teases more plans for Gravity Experience Park Making beer isn’t just about beer. With a crowded marketplace – macro and micro beers, seltzers, spirits, so-called ready-to-drink canned cocktails, etc. – the product itself is part of the battle, but it’s not the only part. Land-Grant Brewing’s leaders know experience is about more than what’s in the can. The Franklinton brewery for several years has turned its beer garden into a winter outdoor destination with heated igloos and games such as curling. And that slate of activities is growing with the nearby opening of Gravity Experience Park, which will include a new bar off the Idea Foundry to showcase innovative beers.
