Theater and jazz in Ohio's rock 'n' roll capital

I lived in and around Cleveland for 18 years, so I've heard all the jokes. A burning river. A dirty lake. Unlucky teams. Snowfalls in May. Like most natives of this gritty, historic and beautiful lakeside city, I take these jibes in stride, assuming that cruel jokesters the world over have never walked along the shimmering Cuyahoga at dusk, seen live jazz at the Boarding House or joyously embraced a strange biker when the Browns scored a lone field goal. Haters be damned, Cleveland has kept on keepin' on for more than 200 years. Here's a handy guide to making the most out of Ohio's most maligned (and my favorite) city.

Very nice press...thanks for posting it for us!

Very nice and well-rounded review of Cleveland for beginners.  What kind of publication is this?

A weekly like free times, just not so bitter

^ Indeed, and owned by The Dispatch.

Columbus Alive - "leftist" publication

This Week Newspapers - "conservative" publication

Both owned by the Dispatch

If I remember correctly, the new Alive is inspired by Cin Weekly in Cincy. I wish we had a positive weekly like these two pubs in Cleveland -- and I'm a journalist! Sometimes you just want a little fluff. I hate reading Scene and the Free Times, which are full of negative bitching.
