Honestly, folks, what are you doing on Facebook and Twitter at all?   They are both cesspools on every conceivable level, even before the brainrotted took over, and add no value any longer.

Can someone explain that to me?

It just means he's never been there before. The word virginity gets attributed to a lot of stuff with my generation.

I prefer facebook to Myspace. For some ODD reason, I get ALOT of STRAIGHT High School boys, and some girls wanting to add me. I actually E-mailed one of the guys and asked "Why does a straight high school boy want to be friends with a 27 yr old gay guy. Especially one you've never meet!". I never got a response back! LOL

And on a "me" note, my status says... "Ich bin stolz sein Deutsche-Amerikaner" ( I just hope everything is correct! I'm still trying to figure out the basic stuff!)

I know he gagged, when he read that message!  Classic!

I'm too lazy right now to look you up and I don't know your last name lol

Yes.

I'm over facebook. I hardly ever check it. Only thing new is boring pictures and pointless 'look at me' status updates.

Why do people think Facebook is their own little private world and think no consequences can come from posting pictures or other content on the site. It is a public site and ANYONE can see and use this information against you!

Akron Petland closes; employee faces cruelty charges after photo of drowned rabbits appears on Facebook

AKRON — The Akron Petland store was shut down today by Petland's corporate office after a photograph appeared on Facebook that showed an employee holding dead rabbits.

Facebook's latest attempt to make money. Again, met with tepid response

How Facebook Is Making Friending Obsolete

"...This fall, Twitter turned its popularity into dollars, inking lucrative deals to allow its users tweets to be broadcast via search algorithms on Google and Bing.

Soon, Facebook followed suit with deals to distribute certain real-time data to Google and Bing. (Recall that despite being the fifth most popular Web site in the world, Facebook is barely profitable.) Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt says no money changed hands in the deals but says there was "probably an exchange of value."

Just one catch: Facebook had just "exchanged" to Google and Microsoft something that didn't exist.

The vast majority of Facebook users restrict updates to their friends, and do not expect those updates to appear in public search results. (In fact, many people restrict their Facebook profile from appearing at all in search results)...."

I did find this piece interesting, regarding their privacy settings

"...Facebook also made public formerly private info such as profile pictures, gender, current city and the friends list. (Mr. Schnitt suggests that users are free to lie about their hometown or take down their profile picture to protect their privacy; in response to users complaints, the friends list can now be restricted to be viewed only by friends)...

...But those who want a private experience on Facebook will have to work harder at it: if you inadvertently post a comment on a friends profile page that has been opened to the public, your comment will be public too...."

Is the girl not Asian?  I'm confused.  But on one level I am glad that the kids are still writing notes, and that they're being intercepted.  Seriously, there was absolutely no greater triumph in gradeschool than commandeering a love letter and passing it around out on the playground.

^Adopted, both of them.

Quitting Facebook: What Happens When You Deactivate?

What Happens to Photos, Wall Messages, Games If You Deactivate Facebook Account?

By KI MAE HEUSSNER

For most of us, it will likely never be more than an idle threat. But what happens if you actually do decide to sign off from Facebook -- for good?

Frustrated by privacy changes or perhaps simply overwhelmed by the non-stop online chatter, Facebook  users sometimes say it's time to go cold turkey. But a few really do follow through.

After Facebook's most recent changes and the discovery of a (now-fixed) security hole that let users see friends' chats, complaints from Facebook users erupted last week in comment threads and even a dedicated protest page on the site.

Facebook Users Can Deactivate or Permanently Delete Accounts

"Of all the ways to kick off my birthday I would have never suspected being threaten by a jugggalo who then made me a ballon poodle. My life is sometimes very strange."

BTW for those that don't know what a juggalo is, they are Insane Clown Posse (ICP) followers:

Just a question to satisfy my curiosity. Does anybody else out there have a random FB friend whose wreck of a life has become a morbid enjoyment/fascination for you? Basically the FB equivalent of really trashy reality TV? I became friends with this girl that I graduated high school who I thought was pretty unassuming and down to earth. Boy was I wrong. First off she is one of those that apparently doesn't filter what she posts on the internet. I am trying to piece her life together from her FB posts and its a riot. She has kids, maybe a Boyfriend/ husband, she just moved out of the BF? house with the kids, she post alternating loving and damning posts about the BF. She may have early stage MS, not sure about that and lots of other random facts and events that don't make sense.

And the whole reason that I posted this was her status up date this morning was that the BF doesn't react to "I am on fire" because she fell asleep on the couch last night woke up at 2AM and lit a cigarette while lying on the couch and managed to catch her shirt on fire. Seriously I am so fascinated by her crazy life.

Not really, but one of my FB Friends apparently has a stalker/hater.  My FB Friend is always making posts about how this person should quit screwing with her life.  She has threatened to leave FB, but decided that would mean that the stalker/hater would "win."

I don't know this person.  I think her husband was an acquaintance of mine in high school.  So, I'm getting ready to "ignore" her.
