Posted July 1, 200618 yr Here is a video I have been working on with photos I have taken of Cincinnati throughout the year. Let me know what you think, feedback is welcomed. http://www.cincyimages.com/media/CINCINNATI.mov Enjoy, Jayson
July 1, 200618 yr Aargh...neither my wife's iBook nor my new Dell will let me watch the video. It plays the audio, but says Quicktime doesn't have the necessary stuff to play the video. I tried to update the software, and it said, "Screw you, Mr. Riverviewer." Ach...damn. Any chance you could save it in a different format for we who suck? Or any idea if there's something I can download to let me watch it? I dig the soundtrack!
July 1, 200618 yr It is a simple .mov file. Any Quicktime version 7.0 or greater should be able to see it. Is anyone else having problems with this?
July 1, 200618 yr Came out great! A little light on the West Chester and Mason though(LOL). Could use some shots of vast suburban developments and perhaps the lovely retail/traffic mecca that is Fields-Ertel!
July 1, 200618 yr Works for me. Looks good... how could it not when all your photos kick so much ass? Only thing I might suggest is perhaps some different transitions or something instead of zooming in or out a bit on some of them.
July 1, 200618 yr I don't even get a soundtrack. But I haven't updated quicktime in ages, I could be on Version 5 for all I know.
July 1, 200618 yr Cool - I just had to download Quicktime 7.0 to see it - and it was worth it! I really dig the technique of zooming you used. But I do agree, I think it was light on Fields-Ertle and Tri-County surface lots. Would have really rounded it out... (kidding, obviously...very well done!)
July 1, 200618 yr ...oh, and can we expect more? Maybe neighborhood themes, each with its own song? A whole suite of pre-packaged PR material - for sale for the right price, I assume!
July 2, 200618 yr LOL, yeah the video was of the city and not the metro. I am glad everyone has liked it so far. PigBoy, I appreciate the feedback. Riverviewer, your request is possible but I might need some ideas for good songs. BTW, I finally linked your site (http://www.cincinnatiroads.com) on Cincy Images. You can find it under "Transportation". Thanks for the return link.
July 2, 200618 yr Really interesting song choice; but really nice photos, as always. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 2, 200618 yr I really enjoyed the video, the music was upbeat and the constant movement built up excitement. Nice job! The only thing I might change is to move the fountain up, but that is probably just because it is the symbol of Cincinnati to me. How about an OTR video with the song Don't Stop Believing? Does anyone know if the WKRP in Cincinnati Theme song is anywhere online? I was reminded of it.
July 2, 200618 yr Maybe Randy Newman, "It's Money That Matters" for Mt. Adams? I'll see if I can think of any non-sardonic suggestions...oh, and thanks for the link! More movies coming soon!
July 2, 200618 yr The WKRP theme song is on iTunes. I would never use it for one of my video's but you can listen to it here: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=129354777&s=143441&i=129354791 Agree that I should have panned up on the fountain.
July 2, 200618 yr sorry bro, but your music sucks ass While I can appreciate criticism, I find it amusing that you registered to tell me my music selection sucks. But what the hell, I will play... What song do you recommend?
July 3, 200618 yr The pictures are great...but the simple zooming in...then out gets a bit redundant after awhile. How about simply flashing a few pictures in a row up one after another without zooming or panning. They could even be positioned different on the screen. Just something to break up the middle part that lacks different effects. I also need to see it again on a computer with speakers so that I can hear the accompanying sound!
July 3, 200618 yr I thought the music was perfect. It's like, "Middle East meets Midwest- via Queens".
July 3, 200618 yr I just heard saw the clip again....this time with audio and I enjoyed the sound very much. However, my previous comments still apply.
