Posted July 3, 200618 yr It's been a few years since I've been to this park and this past Friday turned out to be a great day to go. I didn't see any photo threads on this so here are several photos of this unique park. It's a great way to spend the afternoon. The rolling hills and abundance of green space is a perfect setting for these larger than life sculptures. Highly recommended - there's a $3.00 entry fee and now carts can be rented. http://www.pyramidhill.org/index.php
July 3, 200618 yr I've never been, though I'll check it out one day. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 3, 200618 yr It is truly a unique part of the Hamilton landscape....something that residents and city leaders should both be proud of!
July 5, 200618 yr Sweet pics of a cool place. I will have to check it out sometime, first I have heard of it as well.
July 23, 200618 yr That's sweet as hell. I can't even decide which one I like best. I don't know why they don't do something like that with Eden Park. Columbus has a lot of sculputures downtown I noticed.
July 23, 200618 yr I recognize a couple of those formerly located in plazas of downtown Cincinnati office buildings.
December 13, 200618 yr This one used to be in front of the Chiquita Building. The Chiquita Building was actually called something like "501 Sycamore" originally before Chiquita moved in, this sculpture was definitely there originally. The sister building, now the Convergys Center, also had a modernist sculputure in its corner plaza which was moved to St. Xavier High School in 1997. This whole modernist steel scupture in the modernist plaza movement was I think started by the big Picasso thing in Chicago, no doubt without the fountain the DuBois Tower (5/3 Bank) would have installed something that would now be in Hamilton's modernist sculpture graveyard.
