Posted July 4, 200618 yr I took a three day trip to Philadelphia a couple of weeks ago, and I have been too busy to take the time to post my photos. If you are looking for touristy photos then this is not the right place...All Urban...All The Time! So better late than never....here is my Philly adventure! First part....Center City (downtown): Old City (immediately E of Center City): Citizens Bank Park: Phillies v. Mets (Mets won) During the rain delay On the way out The absolutely gorgeous City Hall!!! This is in the central courtyard of City Hall accessible from all sides Plaza outside of City Hall Some more rehab action Goodbye Philly

July 4, 200618 yr ^Looks like it would be hard to! Great stuff, I hope to get there soon, I haven't been there since I was 3 or 4.
July 4, 200618 yr Glad you enjoyed our little town and I apologize for you having to endure The Phillies. City Hall Observation Deck, which you visited, is the only public observatory in the city for now. A 70 story building planned for the waterfron would add another as Comcast is currently keeping all the good views to itself in their new building.

A 70 story building planned for the waterfron would add another as Comcast is currently keeping all the good views to itself in their new building. That would be a great addition, because the top of City Hall is not the best viewing spot....and it left me wanting more. I walked into One Liberty Place and asked the guards if there were any way to get near the top of it, but it was a no go. On another note, you Philadelphians REALLY love your food!

July 5, 200618 yr Chicago Gyros (McMillan St) > everything else in the world! Their Gyros are awesome!!!!! I always thought it was pronounced like "juy-ros". One time I went in there and the guy behind me said it like "jeer-os" so I asked someone that works there how it's really supposed to be spelled and found out its "Yir-os". Shows how cultured I am  Great pics btw. I think I heard Columbus is the new cheesesteak capital but I don't know what that's based off of.
July 5, 200618 yr Great shots, I was there two years ago, there is a lot of grit to be had for sure as well.
