Posted July 5, 200618 yr I didn't know where else to put this...(not quite a "Transportation" thread) Does anyone know of places to rent bikes in Cleveland that would be convenient to University Circle? Individual and group rentals are what I'm looking for. The only success I've had in finding rentals at all is with the Ohio City Bike Co-op and Century Cylces in Peninsula, neither of which are great for a Univ. Circle bike event!

July 6, 200618 yr It was a more "ad hoc" question about a specific place where I needed the rentals, but I suppose it would fit into a general transportation thread. I contacted Cleveland Bikes and Century Cycles. Cleveland Bikes suggested the OC Bike Co-Op, but they weren't opened yesterday, so I didn't hear back from them. Century Cycles does group rentals and delivery for a minimum of two hours and 15 bikes ($300, plus tax). Add more for more hours. It ends up being pretty expensive, really, but what can you expect? I guess if you can get to the shops, renting a single bike becomes more practical. Especially if you're trying to get around on the Towpath Trail down in Peninsula and hopefully someday soon up the Cuyahoga where the Bike Co-Op is located!
