Took a few photos while walking around Over the Rhine's "Second Sunday on Main" today.  It was my first time going and it was actually a nice way to spend a few hours on a sunny, Sunday afternoon.  I also finally picked up one of Cramer's "Cincinnati as a pig" shirts at Urban Eden.

WOW! OTR looks so busy!

You take really good photos, how come you do not post photo threads more often?

Great photos!  I was there as well and was able to stop in Kaldi's and grab a big, fat breakfast burrito...mmmmm!

Last month's Second Sunday was great, but unfortunately I missed it this month.  Looks like it might have been even better this time!

My husband and I were there as well today.  We did the wine tasting at Mr. Pitiful's.  Well worth the $5 per person.

It's so sad that Main St. is so dead LOL!

sad that i live five minutes away and my wife is an artist and we are both under 30 and we had no ideal that this was going on, sad , sad marketing. well I guess we will be their next month. sucks that cincy has everything and more then a city like portland but it dose not have the word of mouth or local TV/newpaper advertisement,  or the local trains/transportation that portland has.  Especially when cincy has major company's that pump a lot of money into the region that portland dose not have.

There was actually a decent write-up about it in the past issue of Cin Weekly, but I have not seen much else until now.

I found out about the event from irhine.com.  I receive their email newsletter.  BUt I agree, it's sad that there isn't more publicity over this event.

Looks great.....makes me wish that Main was sectioned off as a pedestrian only street from Central to Liberty.  It just seems so natural for the street to be used for pedestrians only!  Great event, forgot that this was going on this past weekend.....I'll have to hit it up next month!

Great Ideal, but wait then i would have to find another way to drive home from work everyday.

How does one get a city to close of a street from cars?? anyone know

I thought I posted pictures fairly often . . but thanks.  I actually want a new camera that has a better zoom.  But I have other more pressing expenses at this time.

Great thread!  I haven't been down there in ages...  I really appreciate all the close-ups of the buildings with planters and new paint jobs.  I actually kinda miss the place!

Great flower shots!  And buildings...

Luken talked about closing the street off during his term but he never executed the idea.

This is the money shot:

Very interesting, Cincy is great!

The Enquirer has had two articles about Second Sunday on Main in the last two months.  I know, hard to believe.

That first shot's a winner.  Oh, and the dog shot too.

  • 8 years later...

Second Sunday on Main celebrated its 10th Anniversary this month!
