Cincinnati: New Skyline Angle - Possibly the Best Western View of the Skyline

Driving around Kentucky I found a new angle of the city that I haven't seen yet.  It was pretty impressive and I plan on going back and getting this shot during dusk with less haze but here is the one I got for now.

God bless Covington, eh?

Very cool!!

Great angle indeed!

But don't leave us hanging- name the spot!

The Cincinnati sign on the Convention Center looks great from that angle!

This angle makes the skyline seem to be wider (N to S).

God bless Ludlow!!!!!!  That's where they have built some condos up on the hill.  It's on the backside of devou.

Cincy does a good job at lighting up its marquee buildings, however, the other skyscrapers are left untouched without any accent lighting.  I would definitely love to see this change and see a brighter/livelier downtown skyline.

Very nice.

Rich as usual is always holding out on us...  Glad to see you finally post your pics.

Also, does anyone know where this shot was taken?  It is obviously a bridge, but which one?  ...or is it a rooftop of an office building?  Grasscat and I were looking for a good view of the new Convention Center sign with the skyline one night but we came up empty handed.

Clay Wade?

No the Clade Wade Bailey Bridge shot looks like this:

One of the Viaducts?

Uhm... okay, you climbed out of your sunroof on the Brent Spence?

Like Rich said, the first shots were from the hills of Ludlow.  The third photo I posted down the thread (from CincyUSA) is the photo in question about the location.  It couldn't be taken from the Brent Spence, looks like a location in Queensgate?  Ramada Inn Maybe?

I would bank on that shot coming from the 5/3 tower?

I would say it might be from atop one of those mid-rise office buildings west of downtown, maybe even the Holiday Inn (or whatever it is now).

It's a great angle..great pics. Downtown looks really dense from that angle. I hate to say it but I think the worse angle of downtown is one directly of the riverfront. The stadiums and freedom center add a nice touch but you don't get to see very many buildings.

What 5/3rd tower?  Where is there a 5/3rd tower in Queensgate?

It seems like it could have been taken from various places in Price Hill..maybe Grand Ave. or Glenway avenue...or...whatever that street is called when you go up Glenway from 8th and State, and you turn left. I don't know. It doesn't seem like the right angle to be taken from Mt. Echo park.. I'm wondering if they took it from Price Hill and just have a really good zoom.

David, that photo is not from Price Hill, you can tell by the way the photo was taken that it was relatively close to downtown, a bridge or rooftop from Queensgate.  I am trying to figure out which one, I will probably need to print the photo out and take it with me next time I am down there.

This is what the skyline looks like from Price Hill

What about that hotel across from the shell station? Maybe someone took it from their hotel room?

Isn't that the Ramada Inn I mentioned?

Oh, sorry I skimmed through the thread. That seems like the most logical location.
