No, not you MTS.  Reading a thread with you on "ignore" would be like driving cross-country without encountering a single Waffle House, "massage parlor", or outlet store mall.  Even though you'd never in your right mind stop at one, you would still have the uneasy feeling that something was terribly amiss.

Math, Maybe you're just having difficulty finding the ignore feature? If so, click on "PROFILE" at the top of every page; and in the area of Modify Profile click on "Personal Messaging". There you can select forumers to ignore. I have selected only four persons in there.

Seriously, is it a matter of money to buy the mod that gives us the ignore button back? If that's all it is, PM me and I'll PayPal you the money today. In the last couple of weeks it's become clear that my long term enjoyment of this board is in jeopardy without it.

I don't understand why one or two are pressing for this, whereas the vast majority (98%) can simply read past a comment they don't like or constructively comment against a particular comment or poster.

And the Admins and Mods have to endure EVERY post.

I think the ignore feature as is works pretty well.  I've added two trolls and I'm getting a lot less spam.  The only time I have trouble is when other people fall into the trap of using the quoting feature which keeps me from flat out ignoring them.

I'm ok with the ignore feature as is. I tend to ignore people when they irritate me, then after a few days I see everyone else going off on them for something they say, so I click and view their post. After doing that for a few more days, I forget why it was I ignored them in the first place and take them off. (Well there's a couple people that I'll never take off, but they're the exception.)

 

I wish there was a way of ignoring entire threads. There's a handful that I never really look at, or want to look at, yet because there's always someone else posting in them, they're always on top.

• Click on profile (at the top of the screen),
• Click on Personnal Messages, (on the left side of the screen)
• Type the user names of the people that make you want to commit homicide in the white box, (in the middle of the screen)
• Click save. (at the bottom of the screen)
   
  

Don't worry I was thrown off by it being under personnal messages for the longest time too and kept hoping for an ignore feature so I wouldn't have to look at EagleFan's avatar. (It makes me want to punch the screen.)
