June 1, 20232 yr Mahall’s Halves its Bowling Lanes to Open New Event Venue Quote Mahall’s, Lakewood’s popular bowling alley, music venue, cocktail bar and event space will soon feature a new, 800 person-capacity venue called The Roxy. Taking over what used to be the 10 bowling lanes on the venue’s main level, the venue looks back on Mahall’s nearly 100-year history and revives a former dance hall that lived in the same space in the 1920s and 30s. It's her third album, the follow-up to 2020's Devotion, and she co-produced it with her partner Julian Lage. I always enjoyed them well enough, but by far my favorite thing they ever did was their cover of The Verve Pipe's The Freshman.
