October 8, 201014 yr ^ rnr, we have done yoga on the grass, not cement. The NW quadrant is grassy. As for gawkers, we've just kind of blocked any of them that may be there out. After all, one of the goals (I believe) is to have a presence where a lot of people see us doing cool community things.
October 8, 201014 yr a man much smarter than me once said "if you got it, flaunt it". thats why i wear speedos whenever possible.

Now in its second year, the cold-weather funfest is slated to hit Hart Crane Memorial Park (corner of Columbus and Merwin) in the Flats on February 19. March 8, 201114 yr We had 48 people packed into the basement of the Old Stone Church on Friday evening for an incredible practice. Did anyone from UO make it? We have one or two more months inside Old Stone, then we'll be back doing yoga in the NW quadrant of Public Square on the first Friday of every month.
March 14, 201114 yr Last year was the first year of this event. It was held on the Mall in Cleveland. This year due to the construction of the Medical Mart/Convention Center, it clearly wont be able to be held their again. The hint for this years location is "The Concert is by the LAKE, OUTSIDE." Whats your guess on this years location? From the website: "What is Ohio Homecoming Week? Ohio Homecoming Week is a four-day celebration of all the opportunities the state has to offer. It will be hosted in Cleveland, Ohio, July 20th through July 23th, 2011. It will combine both socially conscious and entertaining fare to raise the profile of the state, bring together various constituencies for the state's advancement, reinvigorate the citizens to aspire to greatness, and connect them with the tools to get there." March 14, 201114 yr Thanks for posting this. I was going to ask you what event that was and if it's an annual event, but I read the info. I will certainly be marking my calendar for this; just my type of element. Me and the gf will be making the trip up for it.
March 14, 201114 yr If it os going to be "on the lake"... I have to assume that means Voinovich Park. If they hold it at Burke, someone needs to get smacked.
March 14, 201114 yr ^ Thats what I thought at first but I dont think it would be anywhere near big enough. Maybe Edgewater? Also, will the Malls be done by 2012?
March 14, 201114 yr VP can hold a pretty big crowd..... probably about as much as Mall B, especially if you close it off to vehicular traffic. I've seen some pretty big events held there.
March 14, 201114 yr ^ The raised land will block views for a large part of the space though dont you think? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=Cleveland,+Cuyahoga,+Ohio&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=33.352165,79.013672&ie=UTF8&geocode=FWc7eQIdT20h-w&split=0&hq=&hnear=Cleveland,+Cuyahoga,+Ohio&ll=41.510457,-81.696809&spn=0.00194,0.004823&t=h&z=18

May 21, 201114 yr Headed up there this afternoon, then Hessler to kickoff the Cleveland festival season...
May 21, 201114 yr ^ beautiful day at Hessler street fair right now. I'm actually doing the opposite. Heading down to Asiatown after this.
May 21, 201114 yr Hessler was fun, though I didn't get why the angry, barely clothed, female bodybuilder was manning the hessler street hall of fame exhibit. Lots of cool pictures in that particular exhibit, but seriously, what was with the 'bouncer'?
May 21, 201114 yr I went. Tons of people. Some pretty good food, too. Dat Phan was much funnier than I expected. Good stuff.
