ahhh...you can almost breathe in that American pride!

Nice!  What a cute little town.

Waynesville is a great spot.  Only drawback:  dry!  No beer!

Quaint and tidy!

Then it's trash.

And overrated.  Nice pics though.

^I agree, as far as the antiques. Not that I am a big antiquer, but I didn't think there were all that many stores devoted to them, so many stores are gift shops which make me want to puke.

ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!  I can smell all that vinyl from here!

^I know, I even decided not to post a handful of buildings with vinyl.

For some reason I never got the Waynesville jones, the way so many Daytonians have.  Never been to the Saurkraut Festival, never even walked around town much.

The place is pretty popular though, and that it is built on a hill is a bit unusual, too.  Most country towns areound here are usually on flat lands or in a bottoms.

I do like the idea that the place was founded in the 18th century, which puts it in rare company with Dayton and Cincinnati and perhaps a handful of other places in Ohio dating to the 1700s, as the era of town formation in this state seems to have happened more in the 1800's.

One would think that since I'm such a history buff or "Americana" fan I would get a kick out of Waynesville..true...but I am really pretty ignorant of that whole antiques/crafts thing thats going on there.

Waynesville is an interesting town.  Nice set!

Do they have any antique stores???

Nice pics!
