July 24, 200618 yr As for Cincy itself, are you hoping to get a NBA team? Currently it looks like the closest team to you isthe Cavilers. We already have a professional basketball team, their called the Bearcats and the Musketeers. ;) Seriously though, the Pacers are the closest
July 24, 200618 yr Oops, totally forgot about Indianapolis. I saw the gallery at Cincyimages, and that site was actually how I found these forums. I have a wallpaper from cincyimages as my background right now. The pictures of Milwaukee are amazing, I dunno how he does it but it's remarkable.
August 23, 200618 yr :D:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!!!! We're reserving a hotel and plan on making a return visit to Cincy to see the Bengals/Packers game!!!!
August 23, 200618 yr Adam, why don't you let one of us know next time you are in town and we can show you around or grab a beer or something. How old are you?
August 23, 200618 yr The last time I went I didnt get to experience Cincy Chili and other things so I feel this trip was my 2nd chance to fix what went wrong. :)
August 23, 200618 yr The last time I went I didnt get to experience Cincy Chili and other things so I feel this trip was my 2nd chance to fix what went wrong. :) Who are you coming with? Family? Dad? Brother?
August 28, 200618 yr Tell Favre to hold on to the ball tonight!    He doesn't want to be embarassed by a local again now does he?? jk, but anyways....enjoy the game....WHO DEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 28, 200618 yr Hey all, In Cincy right now. :) Anyway I finally know the city alot more and could easily live here. I have a few questions... 1. Where is the P & G building? 2. Whats the best area to take a cincy skyline pic? Thanx and GO PACK GO!!
August 28, 200618 yr Best place to take photos of Cincinnati is: Atop Mt. Adams by the Celestial restaurant Devou Park in Covington, Kentucky Newport Central Catholic, Newport, Kentucky Covington Riverfront Newport Riverfront I-75 Kentucky coming down the hill (Cut-in-the-hill) where the whole city opens up, pull off the road and climb up the hill The P&G building is this one off 5th Street:
August 28, 200618 yr AdamB, you guys should check out Mt. Adams and Hyde Park to just walk around. There are some other places that I would recommend, but they are fun with the bars and you aren't old enough to enjoy that yet :( . Anyway, check out Zips in Mt. Lookout. Dewey's Pizza (recommend Oakley or Newport), or Montgomery Inn for Ribs (dress is business casual). There is nothing like Montgomery Inn Ribs and your pops will die over them, I'm sure. Can be a little pricey however. This place is on the Riverfront on Pete Rose Way. Nicholson's is a nice place to eat lunch or dinner. While you guys are in town, check out the Art Museum in Eden Park (very nice). The Cincinnati History Museum is also pretty cool. Of course the Contemporary Art Museum is right there on 6th and Walnut St. ... would be a great place to spend your time in the afternoon. I'm not sure if the Reds Museum is open during away games, but if you're a hardcore baseball fan, you'll appreciate it (especially since we are the first pro baseball team). Let us know if there's anything else we can suggest!
August 28, 200618 yr Its too bad you had to come to Cincinnati at a time when the weather is so muggy. Hopefully it's not like this tomorrow. I can barely tolerate it right now.
August 29, 200618 yr The Art Museum is free, by the way, and Eden Park is beautiful...how long are you in town?
August 29, 200618 yr I love the view of Cincinnati off....what is it....Boal Street in Mt. Auburn. So incredible with the park right under your feet. I would recommend to head up sycamore street until you head up an incline, then turn right on boal street i believe. This is also a neat part of town with a lot of nice residential rehabs, etc.
August 29, 200618 yr Its too bad you had to come to Cincinnati at a time when the weather is so muggy. Hopefully it's not like this tomorrow. I can barely tolerate it right now. You should feel it in DC right now. Uggg, this makes two homes games for the Bengals that I have been on the road. Probably the only two games this year I could probably get tickets for. I get the luxury of watching it in my hotel :(
August 29, 200618 yr Back from the game. Needless to say that the score wasnt great. :p I got a Palmer Jersey though but it's too big and I lost the tags/recipts. :( The skyline pics...ah yes, how far is the hill from the Ohio river? We're staying at the extended stay hotel and can see I-71 out the window, better yet, how far is Devor Park? I saw the screenie on Wikipedia and I was in awe. I found a great spot of the skyline near Paul Brown Gate D, beautiful. :) We were near Mount Adams since I knew something was great about it but we had to get back to downtown to get to the game(Columbia Pkwy w/ the broken light post only restated this) Unfortunately other than seeing the P&G building and getting some skyline chili I think the trip is over with in Cincy. Like I said though I learned alot from this visit like the interstates and the riverfront. I also got to go in the burbs more than last time too. Thanx!
August 29, 200618 yr Devou Park I mean haha. Anyway we're leaving today so it would be great if I could get a response soon. :) Thanx
August 29, 200618 yr The skyline pics...ah yes, how far is the hill from the Ohio river? We're staying at the extended stay hotel and can see I-71 out the window, better yet, how far is Devor Park? I saw the screenie on Wikipedia and I was in awe. Thanx! Devou Park is not to far....if you are in Covington there are signs that will lead you to the top of the hill to the park. This would be the best/easiest way for you to get a terrific view of the Cincinnati/Nky skyline! If you are in a car I would think it would take around 5-7min. (the hill ascent would take some effort in this muggy weather). I would also try to ask someone from your hotel for a map.....I sure it would have Devou Park on it! Good Luck!
August 29, 200618 yr Convince your parents or whoever you came with to go to Mt. Adams and Eden Park to the art museum. That's way more important than Devou Park.
August 29, 200618 yr Looks like we cant go to Mt. Adams or to Devor Park. It's 400 miles to Milwaukee. O well, I got alot of pics of Cincy anyway. This is my last trip for the year to Cincy, who knows about next year. :)
August 29, 200618 yr I hope you post your pictures for us - many of us are obsessed by Cincinnati, and any outsider's images of it are greatly appreciated! Any idea when you'll be back in town? And any chance you'll be applying to go to school here? I thought I remembered you saying you were 18 or so...
