Posted March 30, 200421 yr Downtown Dayton, in sections... Webster Station district is the new loft, entertainment, nightclub, etc area east of downtown in old warehouses. Though still a work in progress, the area is now the home of Dayton's minor league Dayton Dragons baseball team and Fifth Third Field (rated one of the Top 5 best minor league stadiums in the country). Webster Station also includes two farmers markets, microbreweries and the Canal Street Tavern, where some group called Guided By Voices of some shit started. New Loft District downtown features over 20 projects in a 3 x 3 block area including some nicer, modern low-rise condo buildings and new lofts. A Dayton institution, Wympee (downtown has about 6 diners); this one is the most "famous." The Terra Cotta District features bars, restaurants (including the Speghetti Warehouse), lofts, condos/apartments and is the home of Reynolds & Reynolds. Dayton Daily News building And the skyline... Liberty Bank Tower (Hulman Building; 300ft) YMCA Building (now The Landing Apartments) Part II coming up... April 6, 200619 yr Damnit! I hate when people reply in old threads. I never think to look at the date so I assume it's new lol.
April 7, 200619 yr Whoa.... I missed this one. As many times as I've been to Xenia over the years, I've never been to Dayton. I'll have to make a point to go scrounge around a little bit when I'm in Xenia this year (and maybe Cincy too as I've never been their either).
