Posted July 23, 200618 yr Yeah, five photos- hardly worth posting. But what the hey... As an annual winter visitor to the Boston area, I was thrilled to have a chance last weekend to spend an afternoon checking out a bit of the city in a non-winter season for what may have been the first time ever. Sadly, the temperature outside was hovering near 300 degrees, making stopping every 10 feet for a photo somewhat less than pleasant. So there was much walking with few photos, but I'll post those several random shots anyway. And that's it. Here, pretend this one is from the summer, too. >>>

July 24, 200618 yr Boston is one of the most aesthetically pleasing urban cores I've ever seen. When I was there it was just so clean and the historic building were very well preserved.
July 24, 200618 yr Boston looks amazing. I think I'd like to live there some day. I heard that the people there suck though.
July 24, 200618 yr Boston looks amazing. I think I'd like to live there some day. I heard that the people there suck though. New Englanders tend to be pretty laid-back, especially compared with people in New York/Long Island/New Jersey. If the people in Boston suck, it's because at least half of 'em are college students! ;-)
July 24, 200618 yr I heard Boston is pretty conservative too...which seems surprising. It's probably like most other places though..more liberal in the city, more conservative in the 'burbs.
July 24, 200618 yr It has a conservative history dating back to Puritanism... but these days you'll be hard pressed to find Massachusetts voting as a red state. Go there and form some opinions on personal observation, that's your best bet!
