Posted July 23, 200618 yr A lazy, hazy summer afternoon, while the sig-oth is otherwise occupied, causes one, sometimes, to drift to the wheel of one's 2-ton tin Lizzie and roll over to the other side of town. This time I headed to the Lake and inland (more on the inland, later) and I trained my lens on Clevelanders frolicking in one of the best, though oft-underappreciated, assets this town has: Edgewater Park! And this is what I saw: To rocks! good people. Hey, go take a long walk off a short pier! "Aw heck, they ain't bitin', let's just gawk" a colossus looms in the distance California Dreamin'? ... but this is Ohio! Me in my shadow Of cans & vans, ... ... and humans... in a real natural habitat... Adios for now.

July 27, 200618 yr Believe it or not..the is a sandy beach there as well....not just rocks to fish from....which some may think...and am sure the Inland shots will show that as well... you're dead-on, JDD, I only got a snippet of EP --really didn't get to really unleash my camera (I myself was on a short leash, timewise, that day, with the sig-other)... I plan to explore -- and shoot, more; I love EP. There's the sandy beach, the resort like little custard & dog joint and that beautiful Romanesque/Spanish-styled, buff-brick, red-tiled pavilion thingy near the end of Shoreway, surrounded by trees... Don't worry, I'll get back there before summer's end, and will have much to 'report.'
