I know this is technically restaurant news, but I’m so glad the long fellows team is expanding into the restaurant business. The food at long fellows is really good!

Im really ecstatic about the progress Court street is making. It feels like, slowly but surely, its becoming the entertainment district that it always had the potential of becoming.

Im really ecstatic about the progress Court street is making. It feels like, slowly but surely, its becoming the entertainment district that it always had the potential of becoming.

Between the Banks, the Fountain Square area, Court Street, Vine Street in OTR, Main street in OTR and Findlay/Brewery district I wonder how many entertainment districts we have that aren't cohesively planned at all. Does 3CDC have a published masterplan of how all their target areas tie into and play off one another?

I'm not trying to concern-troll, because ultimately I think the answer is that Vine street from Smale to Findlay/Brewery district connects all of them as a pedestrian (especially if 3CDC bridges the current gap at John Robert's table and the Garfield Suites) and the streetcar connects all of them as well. I just worry about programming them all with different enough establishments so that its something like Banks=sports/entertainment, Vine=Shopping/Dining, Findlay=foodies/beer, Main=bars/clubs/music, etc. I just don't know what Court street is yet, but I hope it becomes the more affordable, more fast/casual, and maybe more 'essential to urban living' focused hub for downtown residential since it's already anchored by the downtown Kroger and Woods Hardware a block away.

I really hope that all the current momentum on the area will lead to the Garfield redevelopment finally happening, the lot south of Kroger getting a big residential project and some residential infill on Court west of Vine as well.

I was always under the impression that 3cdc was starting off with south of Liberty otr and then the plan was to ease there way south to court street/cbd… and create one large entertainment district that blends together from all the way to north of Liberty down down through vine street south of Liberty otr, cut through court street and head all the way down to the river.

I think at some point, you will be able to walk through north of Liberty and down south through vine street and everything will be revitalized with shops, restaurants, small businesses and new infill/converted residential.

I don’t think the plan is to have each area be a separate entertainment district island but one massive urban area where you can walk freely - north or south, east or west and will be confronted with revitalization in the form of businesses and residential.

Mount Lookout Square restaurant closed amid lawsuit over videotaped sex

Mount Lookout Square's Cibo Vino Wine Bar & Cucina has closed after less than a year in business, and its owners face multiple lawsuits.

The majority owner of Cibo Vino, John Cioffi III, is suing his former business partner and chef, Chris Baulo, and his wife, Lindsay Baulo, alleging that Chris Baulo misappropriated the restaurant's assets. Cioffi also claims he was defamed by the couple when they allegedly shared video of what Cioffi called a consensual sexual encounter in the restaurant, which resulted in the landlord banning Cioffi from the premises. That landlord, French Edmiston Inc., was also named as a defendant in the lawsuit, which was filed in May in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.

Additionally, Two Muses LLC, the previous tenant of the Delta Avenue space, is suing both Cioffi and Chris Baulo for $89,341 for restaurant equipment sold to the owners of Cibo Vino, who have allegedly failed to pay in full.

Cioffi did not respond to a request for comment. Attorneys listed for the Baulos in court documents also did not respond.

They had chicken?  I don't remember that.  I was hooked on Roy Rogers for a while back in the 80s.  I was going there for lunch almost every day. I either got the roast beef or RR burger.  And sometimes I would add a brownie.  Mmmm.

Maybe I've been hanging out at their Turnpike locations too much instead of their standalones

truly baffled by this choice…I know the spot  was tiny but you would think their return on profits would be higher.

im guessing otr rent prices + rising cost in labor and food have went up that didn’t make their tiny spot profitable anymore.

It's the same owner, so it's basically a rebranding of the space. I'd bet it's mostly due to staff shortages and wages. It's easier to have one kitchen and 40 tables vs. 2 kitchens with 20 tables each.

This has been rumored for a long time. They have been focusing most of their effort on the larger Blue Ash Senate location rather than OTR, and it probably makes more financial sense to operate a larger Abigail Street in OTR and larger Senate in Blue Ash.

A Northern Kentucky craft brewery is partnering with a neighboring baker to open a new storefront offering pizza, pastries, pale ales and pilsners.

Bircus Brewing Co., which has been operating out of a renovated theater in Ludlow, Ky., since 2016, and North South Baking Co., which works out of the Northern Kentucky Incubator Kitchen Collective, are partnering to open up shop at 39 W. Pike St. The co-branded space – opening Nov. 9 – will offer baked goods, wood-fired pizzas and a selection of the brewery's beers.

Miss cheapside, especially that breakfast sandwich. But looking forward to another one of Anthony's restaurants...

Coffeehouse and wine bar opening in Cincinnati suburb

A coffeehouse by day, wine bar and bistro by night, is opening in the heart of one of Cincinnati's suburbs this weekend.

Park Pour is hosting its grand opening beginning 10 a.m. Nov. 13 at 4815 Cooper Road in Blue Ash. It's a project by April Koenig, the founder of Blue Ash-based marketing firm Creatives on Call.

"I'm moving into the fall of my career, and as we started looking at the succession plan of me leaving, I started considering what would be the encore," Koenig told me. "I always joked that when I retired I'd work somewhere in Florida wearing flip flops and cutoffs, pouring coffee."
