I'm really excited for this restaurant! Chef Ryan Santos is a really acclaimed chef in the foodie scene, and his presence in OTR will only help OTR prove it's worth as a foodie destination.

What i'm not excited is that a 4 course tasting menu (these are small dishes mind you), starts at 52$. Meaning, if had to go with my gf, that would cost 104, plus 15-20$ for tips, plus another 20-25$ for some drinks.

Were talking about a 130$-145$ dining experience, for 2 people. That's incredibly expensive, but only reiterates the fact that OTR will be the next Hyde Park of Cincinnati when it comes to wealth in the next 20-30 years.

My colleague Andy Brownfield broke the news that Taco Bell was planning to open a Cantina in downtown Cincinnati last month. At the time, a Taco Bell media representative would only say the restaurant should open in 2017.

I went there twice and it was a pretty good restaurant.  I looked up the new location and it is truly peculiar -- well outside the Harrison we are all familiar with, about 2 miles southwest.  I'm sure that they rented that place for virtually nothing.

That area is what I would consider to be 'downtown Bright.' It is a small cluster of semi-rural retail and there is a skyline up there. So it isn't entirely random.

Has anyone been to Maplewood kitchen & bar yet? We went Monday and it was slammed. This place was freakin delicious. Def going back!

I've been.  The space is really nice, tall and clean, white with marble tops, and I love that the self-serve water has a plain soda water tap, which is what I always drink, and the food was great.  I just didn't like paying up front when you order.  Are you supposed to leave a tip? there is a line on the receipt for tip, but there is basically no service.  I don't get it.

More "innovative" ordering protocol that distracts away from the food.
