After various restaurant and bar tenants fell through, they decided to open their own concept there. "It's on a corner, it's iconic and it has a real pub feel," David Taylor told me. August 23, 20186 yr ^ I've never understood the hype about the Eagle. I had it once and found it to be pretty average fried chicken. I'd like to subject anyone who raves about it to a blind taste test - Richie's, Ron's Roost, let's even throw the Corryville Kroger and Tina's by the Shell on Liberty in there, and see who comes out on top. My money wouldn't be on Eagle.
August 24, 20186 yr I love Eagle's chicken, but I'm also a big fan of Ron's Roost too. Where Eagle shines is the amazing sides. I can get a candied bacon starter, succotash and a mini cast iron skillet with corn bread in it. Pair that with a large selection of beers as well as the ability to walk to the location and it has become one of my favorite places to eat. "Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." - Warren Buffett
August 24, 20186 yr I had Tina's once, and I felt sick halfway through eating it. It was not good. The gyro's aren't bad
August 24, 20186 yr The only thing I tried was the wings, which is what everyone seems to get. So I figured that would be a safe bet. It may have come with fries, too.
