February 24Feb 24 10 hours ago, ryanlammi said: If you're well off enough to afford a condo or market rate rental in OTR I think you should have to pay to store your car in a garage or lot if you want a car in the neighborhood. Any on street permitting should be limited mostly to low income residents on mostly residential streets (vastly fewer locations). I see a lot of vacant storefronts and think the churn of customers in on-street spaces produces a lot more benefit to the neighborhood than someone parking their car on-street for days at a time without moving it - which is happening now all over OTR especially east of Vine. It's not a major issue but it does seem odd and regressive to give away public street parking to private vehicles 24/7. Offering all spaces to customers and residents during business hours (9am-11pm?) makes sense then have some streets be resident only after a certain time (11pm?). Parking has to be one of a few major factors that have contributed to so many storefront and restaurant closures recently. Edited February 24Feb 24 by Miami-Erie

March 24Mar 24 It's probably a good move for them to be closer to more of the action that's happening downtown right now, but it's a big loss for Pendleton and Prospect Hill residents. It was convenient to have a nicer sit-down restaurant in that part of the neighborhood and it definitely brought a lot of activity that will be missed. It seems like everything that's not directly on Vine Street is struggling.

Yes, there are a handful of other successful restaurants in other parts of OTR, but usually they're not too far from Vine, and there are still lots of empty storefronts where restaurants have closed on Race, Walnut, Main, next to Ziegler Park, plus the former Razzo and Nation spaces in Pendleton.
