If I may - it is a joy to see these old gals coming back on line.  You can almost hear them singing - shouting, with joy and relief through there long shut but now opened windows. You can smell the musty air leaving and the sun and fresh air rushing in. God - it is great.

Things are "looking up" in OTR - you should too!  peace

I dig those things too, but somehow always forget to notice them on buildings!  So thanks for this set; nice work as usual!

I KNEW you'd do a thread like this sooner or later!

And you did not disappoint.  Wonderful job.

Very cool thread!  I'm a sucker for italianate cornices and you've shown them very well.

Very nice.

Ahh yes....the shot of Findlay Market makes me wish for all of OTR to be that nice and awesome!  Well done chap.

Great stuff!

Love the Victorian era - Cincinnati is full of this type of ornamentation.

Anyone have shots of the true Craftsman and Bungelow Houses that still exist?

How about inside the Bungelow's?

In Northside, the Bungelow houses didn't have garages.  The Craftsman houses (as I remember my aunt's house in Springdale on Kemper Rd.) at least had a garage in the back of the house.  All made of wood, of course.

To me, Over The Rhine is the epitome of Cincinnati. It's soooo authentic - I love it!Architecturally speaking, it represents everything the city could be, should be, and once was. I love the fushion of architecture and history.  My heart is sad to see it in this condition. It depresses me so much. The best part of the city is in the shittiest condition. My god, if OTR ever became livible I'd be among the first down there.
