#2 stab in the dark: Crawford hall on CWRU's campus?

#2  my guess is that it is the sunken plaza thing between the jewish student center and the old catholic student center.

#1 - Flex

#2 Pope, you are correct!  These are the steps leading up to the building from Euclid & East Boulevard...a very high profile intersection, which is why they decided to make this beeeeeautiful entry to the building!

Which means that Wimwar, you are incorrect... sorry, please pay again.

#1 Musky, nice try.

nothing says embracing the city like a bulding up on a pedestal. This also means you CSU.

MayDay's #31: is it Calvary on Euclid, just west of the Clinic?

sweet!  that one had been bugging me for some time!  still, no one's gotten my #1 from above... I thought it'd be a cinch!  any takers?

sheesh!  it's about time! were you holding out?

Voila!  No one else is as dedicated to this thread as we are...  [sniff sniff]

ooh, i knew it was tomlinson, i figured the crawford hall one was 1000 times more difficult and obscure, so I got that one outof the way

i'm still crying over that loss. It was a dark day in 2001......

Wow, X knows his UC area.

These might be too easy for this crew, but how's about:

Guessed by Zaceman: CIA, detail of courtyard area cut-out.

Guessed my Mayday: northern most unit in an old terrace on the East side of West 38th street just south of Detroit.

Nice work X!  You nailed 'em both!  Rumor has it that an old Euc' owner has either repurchased the bar or is thinking about it...  Someone was going in and out of it while I was taking pics!  Not a bad idea, if you ask me.  Especially considering the lack of bar options in the neighborhood and the prospects of having 500+ new residents living a couple blocks away.  Add to that the recent addition of the dorms Village at 115, just down E. 116th from the bar, which is predominantly upperclassmen.  That's a drinking demographic if I've ever heard of one!

yeah, where are the freshman supposed to illegally drink?

^And I was worried they were too easy- show's how good my judgment is.

First one is not a townhouse south of Lorain in the West 20s.

Second one: you got it! It is indeed the northern most unit in an old terrace on the East side of West 38th (I think that's the right street-your 40s guess is close enough).  It was jazzed up sometime in the early 90s or maybe late 80s I believe- quite ingeniously if you as me.

Strap, why didn't you stop by? I live about 4 houses away from that townhouse.

oh the first one is CIA, probably a view from the courtyard of Reinbreger Gallery's back exit and curator's office

My first picture posting.  Took when home over the holidays..

^^Indeed!  I like the new paint job, by the way.

Nicely done! Now that I know what it is, MayDay's 90 degree rotation really threw me.

Is #4 the storage building across the tracks from the Cedar-University rapid stop?

You people are sick. I thought I knew the city really well, but this is just out of hand! bow.gif

#3 Mars?

a wild guess here:

Is #3 one of the stones in the facade of a building on Detroit between W.25th & W.26th?

#5- top of the old Society for Savings Building.  Tricky angle there threw me for a while.  Full disclosure- I checked a photo on MayDay's site to verify, but I promise I wasn't brousing for the answer.

Oh this might be a little tough for most of you.

This might be a tad easier - especially for one of you.
