Shoot!  I definitely should have known that one - we've got Fort View Place on CincinnatiRoads.com - it's our shortest street thus far!  (Direct link to Fort View Place clip with this view in it)

The Cincinnati Kid's a little slow on the draw, so I'm going to steal this dance...but please feel free to jump back in with a good trivia photo whenever you like!

Is it that park off of Redbank in Kenndey Heights?

Yes, indeed - very well done!  It's Daniel Drake Park, from which I took this fall foliage shot on October 25th, 2004:

So, it's up to you or The Cincinnati Kid for the next one!

Oh...i don't have any pictures of my own, nor do i know how to post, so i'll just let The Cincinnati Kid post the next one.

Well, let me give another here...anyone else can certainly feel free to post trivia here too!

That house is on Alpine I think?

Indeed - it's been being rehabbed for a while now - and man, did it ever need it.  This shot was taken from Nassau.  Crazy, crazy retaining wall - it's just a shear wall.  There's maybe a three foot walkway between the house and the edge of the wall...I showed this place to my grandpa, and he said, "well, you better not come home drunk!"

You have a shot you can post for us?

I do and I'll post after lunch. (Off to a meeting.)

We made an offer on one of those townhouse on Alpine down the street.  We didn't get it . . .

Ok, this may be too easy again . . . There are clues . . . And no fair looking at very old threads.

Is that Sycamore Place?

Yep. The initials are for Krippendorf & Dittman Shoe Company.

Yay, I won one...

Here is mine: (I am looking for the neighborhood this is located in)

OTR?

no

I take it, the photo is too hard.  It was from the Northside.

Here is another one:

That's not on McMicken, is it?

(Where was the earlier one taken from?  That's a cool shot...)

Yes it is McMicken.  Your up...

How about this one?

damn...this is getting pretty tough

Let's try another view of the same thing, see if that helps!

How about a google maps birds eye view ;)

Eden Park: Gateway at the entrance to the old Water Works reservoir near the intesection of Martin Drive and Parkside Place, Mt. Adams.

^You've got it!  As an added bonus, here's the bird's eye view per Monte's request!  The red arrow is pointing to the stone gateway in the pictures above:

John, you're up!

Wow I would have never got that.

I just happened on it by accident one day on a walk...for me, that's the most direct route to Mt. Adams and its hills (which were my target!), and I walked past it and thought, "what the hell is David Baker Pass?"

Actually, I posted this shot in 2004, one of my earliest photo threads:

http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=1557.0

That thread has a link to a Cincinnati Parks Department newsletter that says David Baker Pass was opened in 1914, before Martin Drive was put in...David Baker was the Public Works Director.

Well, to keep things going, I'm going to put another up here - but John, please feel free to post a trivia photo at will - you nailed a tough one!

Alm's Park Lookout - that was an easy one. ;)

Here is one, I don't remember the street so just give me the neighborhood:

original.jpg

Hmm...this is just guesswork, but it's a hilly neighborhood - but the broken window and window AC unit means it's not Columbia-Tusculum or Mt. Adams...low fence, which I don't seem to remember in Mt. Auburn (though I could definitely be way wrong on that)...so I'm going with Price Hill?

Interesting analysis but it is not Price Hill.

Clifton? Wheeler or one of those other side streets off of McMillan?

No, not Clifton but you are closer ;)

That building, or one that looks a whole lot like it, is on Wheeler St. in Clifton Hts.

Hey, look at Kendall!  Even nailed the street!  I went to the auditor's page and searched 2318 Wheeler:

Nice work, but is it Clifton Heights or Fairview?  I know overall it doesn't matter because they are both part of "CUF" but I am just curious.

The auditor's site helpfully explains that it's in CUF...I think either Grasscat or ColDay (or both) had some street divider they referenced at some point for those, maybe?

The reason why I ask is because I have it listed as the sub-neighborhood of Fairview under CUF.  Anyway, Kendall you are up.

Wheeler is in the Clifton Heights portion of CUF.  Fairview does not begin until the west side of Ravine St.

Unfortunately, my library of Cincinnati photos is not nearly as extensive as I would like.

Only one way to fix that problem!  Take pictures and post them!

Unfortunately, I don't know which park that is...

I am in DC right now but my instincts tell me that is Mt. Storm.

That has to be Bellevue hill park . With the baseball field in the background.

cincity is correct!

Ahhh good one.  Didn't see the baseball field in the background.

Someone feel free to go next. I'm another one who doesn't have any photos, but I love playing this game. What a great idea for a thread.

^Easy.  Spring Grove Cemetary.

Indeed!  You're up...
