August 24, 200618 yr If that is Jillians then we need a redo. This is a Cincinnati Trivia Thread not a Covington Trivia Thread. ;)
August 24, 200618 yr I thought I could throw some people off by slipping in a Covington shot, but John's too sharp for that. It is indeed the building that housed Jillian's. Originally home to the Bavarian Brewing Company, this urban castle is composed of many additions throughout the years. Note its proud teutonic architecture:
August 25, 200618 yr Six more "no's." All of your choices are good...I'm going to post some shots of the street to give you more of a hint.
August 25, 200618 yr This Cincinnati street runs perpendicular to Clifton Avenue and is within walking distance of the University of Cincinnati. Most of its properties have undergone significant renovation, and combined with the view makes this a desirable area. The shaded street has many delightful touches, such as wrought iron fencing:
August 25, 200618 yr Wow...that's just much further up the hill than I thought, gauging from the relative height of the Kroger building...how about that! Great trivia question, Don - you got us all out looking at maps, lining up PNC with Carew with Kroger! Nowhere near as clever a question as Don's, but this is one of my favorite benches ever, and since I haven't had an excuse to post it before, how about now?
August 26, 200618 yr Yes, Eden Park, in the lower overlook area, just north of the Twin Lakes. You're up!
August 27, 200618 yr Yeah, not much to go on there...I was going to grab a better shot of it this morning, but wasn't able to swing by... Anyway, your first guess is right - Walnut Hills Cemetery.
August 27, 200618 yr Name this neighborhood: It looks so much nicer from a distance. I use to live right there on Delhi ave..above meters t shirts...before they made the building look nice... fun times.
August 27, 200618 yr Let's see if anyone can get this one. Name the street and the neighborhood of this wonderful home:
August 27, 200618 yr Not Tusculum...though it would certainly fit right in on that street. Like Tusculum, this street climbs towards the sky-- you could even say "to the heavens."
August 28, 200618 yr Definately Celestial Street. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
August 28, 200618 yr John and ColDay got it: Celestial Street. This street is also home to the Highland Towers: And the former home of Rookwood Pottery, now the Porkopolis Tavern and Grill:
August 28, 200618 yr AID=/20060119/ENT01/601200302/1026]Porkopolis Tavern and Grill[/url]: The view of downtown from the parking lot is bananas. :]
September 3, 200618 yr ^West Fourth Street...a wonderful rehab. What Cincinnati suburb features this fountain?
