Holy moses.  This clip is totally ridiculous, the announcer has no idea what's going on.  Here the band is playing songs from their second album, Funhouse, which is arguably the most rocking rock record of all time.  I can't tell where this concert is, maybe at Cincinnati Gardens.

I am pretty sure this was a 1 day fetival held at the old baseball stadium & was broadcast on TV.

Alice Cooper played & was billed as a female folk singer.

Traffic played there, too.

Wow, I can't imagine this being 1970. Like one of the comments on the page posted, I was thinking this has to be one of the first instances of the punk scene.

and you know where iggy is from?

^that Toledo suburb, right? ;)

and you know where iggy is from?

Nope, tell us Pope? ;)

The reporter is right: I wish today's modern rock combos would tune their guitars and trim their hair.

Also I'd like to not be asked to pay $155 for a ticket.

some detroiters are very proud of their rock heritage, however most have no clue of the detroit music scene outside of eminem and motown.

Don't forget Uncle Kracker!

Some think "Detroit", but Grand Funk Railroad was from Flint.

Female folk singer!  Yeah no one knew where old Alice was coming from (I think he was riffing on the UK "glam" movement).

Traffic would have been worth seeing.
