No, that is NOT flannel, it's a western-styled shirt from Banana Republic - yes, it's important that *that* distinction be made.

Banana Repub, huh!

oooooooooh, oakiehigh, you're gonna get it!

Absolutely. Western-styled shirts should always be worn tucked in.

Hey, I'm just following Madonna's lead - ya gotta have variety! :-D

Sure.

It was like the perfect storm right when we passed the old coast guard station coming back on the lake for a good 10 minutes, rain was coming in sidways and got every inch of the boat wet, even on the lower decks. But after the rain stopped, the clouds opened up and the colors in the sky were amazing. I have more pics but i have NO CLUE how to make them smaller so i can post them.

And one more, from labor day weekend on the goodtime (second from left):

Great pic!

Hayward, ColDayMan and I at Niagra Falls, Canada.

I was hoping we would get more of Niagra Falls in the background but you can still kinda see it. Beautiful place.

Check out this little dude nearby.

I know someone that found a baby squirrel in his yard that was blind. He took him in and fed it and it ended up making a pretty sweet pet. No joke.

That's something my friend James would do. Hes OBSESSED with squirrels. He wanted me to see "Over the Hedge" with him when it came out lolol

Hey, it's ColDayMan in squirrel form! How'd he do that?

I'm sure he'd pissed to see what my fellow employees do on their smoke breaks.  They take a ball of rubber bands outside and shoot them at the squirrels on campus.

Wow...you look so different.  Great picture though; that's definitely one you'll be showing grandchildren one day.

Nice picture.

What branch of the service?

Yeah, this is me from the winter of 2006/2007 - my brother's on the left, and me on the right:

...about 50 pounds and one beards' difference...

Man, talk about having motivation...especially in that small time frame. Congrats.

Nice picture.

Army Reserves...back home after IET now, and hoo, wow, I love Cincinnati even more than before - as though that was possible!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!  How old are you?  If you hadn't put up that before picture I would swear you are a whippersnapper!

You look, and probably feel, like two different people.

Congrats and thanks for protecting Ohio.

Miraculous transformation, Riverviewer! Is that what happens to a Cincinnatian when there's no Goetta in the mess hall?

^That's hilarious...especially because I've had goetta every Saturday and Sunday morning since I got back!

Welcome back...stay back.

"the boy".  Sheesh, you're as bad as my grand father.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! How old are you?

36 years old...yeah, I was literally twice as old as some of the young punks I trained with...it really brought it home when I realized that the age they were when Kurt Cobain died?  That's how old I was when friggin' ELVIS died...

Well you look AMAZING!

^I use my archive of 300+ Elvis impersonator photos for all my in-class photoshop demos, and many of the students haven't even heard of Elvis, let alone Elvis impersonators, or if they have heard of him/them, they can't identify the real Elvis or even one of his songs.

I feel your pain.  I once gave a presentation to junior/senior high kids in Brooklyn.  I had some visuals and asked, "can anyone identify the 45".

First "crickets", then a someone said, "there is no gun up there".

They could only identify "45" with a gun.  I literally  had to go lay down.

A few years ago I remember watching a report on the deplorable conditions in NYC public schools, and one glaring example was how far down the once prestigious Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn had fallen. When the reporter interviewing students there mentioned the scores of famous alumni who had attended the school, pointing specifically to Barbra Streisand, nobody had ever even heard of her!

SHUT UP!  Yeah some of the NYC schools scare me.  People think schools in the CMSD are bad (to me they are not) they need to come to NYC, Philly, Newark, Camden or Baltimore.

Not to say that comparing our School district to another is just cause, but to see that at least our teachers are trying and the school IMHO are improving.

You're right. Unless you're fortunate enough to get into one of the prestigious schools like Stuyvesant (I once read that almost 30 seniors in one class had been accepted to Harvard), Bronx Science, etc. (there's also a so-called second tier of good high schools), it seems pretty hopeless. The Painesville City Schools which I attended were probably the crappiest in Lake County (and I'm sure still are), but compared to some of the public schools in New York they seemed like Dalton (okay, a bit of an exaggeration).
