I estimate 21 hours out of my typical day are spent 140 feet above street level. But I love the views As for the renderings, I think those were done by an intern one summer who loved crazy ground level perspectives. Gorgeous pics, especially the one of the cute little store!

April 8, 201015 yr I went through the same MEPS station about 9 years ago. Agreed about the beared, its gotta go. I really dont remember them taking my picture until I got to reception or basic though.

I did receive an email last night from my recruiter informing me it was not acceptable and would have to redo. :( Maybe this time I should not wear an orange t-shirt? @GC, the people at MEPS didn't look at my MOS and as such didn't know (neither did I) that it was required in my background submission, I took it at home when my recruited told me I needed one. @rich I am doing a delayed entry program as an 11x option 40 airborne ranger which along with a few other M.O.S.'s needs a higher security clearance. They said it was part of my background check and will be included in my profile. They also take your picture again now when you are issued your oath of enlistment at MEPS for what its worth. p.s. did you have to run around in a room half naked with 30 other men 9 years ago as well?? I am guessing not much has changed... lol!

They said it was part of my background check and will be included in my profile. Yeah I'm not sure what they gather from that crawling around in your tighty whities but yes I had to do that too. Basic for me was at Ft. Benning GA starting July 2001.

I can be seen wearing a brown Timberland book bag if anyone is interested in joining me for a bike ride!! :)

June 17, 201014 yr Neat idea! I have the beginnings of a small arsenal stashed around here, but haven't been on a range in years. I used to be pretty good; I have an "Expert" certificate (M16) somewhere in my papers, and at the farm we had a range where I did well with a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver. I've never shot a modern automatic pistol, though.

My office Admin plans events for them with businesses we work with so they can see our "reach". Since we work a lot with the law enforcement agencies, he thought that would be cool. I wasn't going I was already home. The staff stayed at the venue for a really long time, so they called and asked me to come down and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Hitting those moving targets is hard. If I was a cop, I can't imagine what I would do in a real life situation.
