September 13, 200618 yr No, but right continent (Landstuhl, that is, not Magadan :-)). Clue #1: This city has a connection to one of Ohio's cities.
September 13, 200618 yr Hint #2: The bordering Carpathians provide ample lookout points over the city.
September 13, 200618 yr I take back the Poland guess One of my Romanian co-workers passed my desk and asked why I have a picture of Brasov, Romania on my computer. Ohio connection: One of Cleveland's sister cities.
September 13, 200618 yr Don't tell me it's Parma. Parma, eh? That is where my Italian ancestry is from.
September 13, 200618 yr Romanian co-workers are helpful. And yes, that's accurate. As an additional tidbit, Brasov has capitalized on vampiric rumors to increase tourism traffic; Vlad the Impaler reputedly lived in nearby Bran Castle. You're up, Buckeye1.
September 13, 200618 yr I'm at work - no ability to upload photos so if someone else wants to post, feel free.
September 14, 200618 yr La Paz, Bolivia. I was helping a student at a local high school represent Bolivia in Model UN recently.
September 14, 200618 yr Spartan got it. La Paz is such a cool city. Interesting facts about La Paz: -highest world capital -highest airport (runway is two miles long because lack of air friction requires more length for landings -population is about 2 million
September 15, 200618 yr ^You got the last one, which means you get to post the next one...we eagerly await your choice!
September 17, 200618 yr I think GA_Lancer must be right...the tall building looks like it is definitely the Aon center.
September 18, 200618 yr yea, plus the park and the older buildings, looks a lil like new york, but less dense, so i figured chicago. not sure though.
September 18, 200618 yr Richmond is a pretty darn good guess, as someone who frequents both. Think of cities that would look simillar to Richmond. dude, Spartan65, it's almost been 48 hours since you last posted! Well it's none of these cities. When someone gets it I'll throw a party, how's that?
September 18, 200618 yr Yep it looks like it is Tulsa, good guess. Regionalism asside, you can never beat Tulsa. Thanks for playing all. Next time It'll be across the pond.
October 8, 200618 yr 500 bucks says almost every single one of you are either using google or emporis.com
October 8, 200618 yr Woah i was not expecting to get that right. And no, I was not using any site...just pieced together mountains, tropical looking environment, a few unique buildings, etc.
September 20, 200717 yr Okay, I'm going to reinvigorate this thread. Here's a shot of my favorite downtown, wedged between two lakes:
September 20, 200717 yr Madison it is indeed. I love that town. So now you're up for posting a new one.
September 20, 200717 yr ^ i guessed it too, but only because i noticed you recently revived all the milwaukee threads - lol! oh but also thanks for doing that i love the place and madison too.
September 20, 200717 yr Madison, WI is one of my favorite towns. Landing there by plane is incredible because you fly really low over the lake and see the whole city around you. Unfortunately their economy and their people aren't very diverse. UW-Madison has to be at least 95 percent white.
