I was thinking, what happened to this guy? I loved his videos. He posted one dated about a year ago from Japan in which he indicated losing a lot of Cleveland content on a corrupted hard drive. He and

So I really like Halo Top's product. And I can't decide if this commercial makes me dislike them as a brand or just want to throw all of my money at them.

I thought that was the pyramid in Memphis at first. Haha

The Luxor is in Las Vegas, yeah? That was obviously a slow news week. Completely opposite of what Vegas is dealing with right now.

the level of incivility reached a new low during last night's NYC mayoral debate, if that's possible.  With the overwhelmingly Democrat population, deBlasio is far ahead in the polls and all but assured victory despite his uneven performance and percolating corruption scandals (alleged!), a raucous free for all ensued even with one audience member being ejected for unruly behavior. I can hardly wait for the next debate

This reminds me of one of those weird public access shows that jmecklenborg[/member] posts:

But seriously, thanks to the guy who made that video for informing me about all the evil that the bankers have caused.

EDIT: This one's way better.

I used to play Mike Tyson's Punchout when I was a kid. If you did too, you'll probably think this is hilarious.

Hehe. The judges were sure she was lip syncing so they made her sing a cappella.

Is she what those Eastern European mail-order brides look like? I might need to look into that  :o :P

watching a video of my HS alma mater's choir performing on MLK Day, I was struck by one distracted young man who didn't seem to be taking the solemnity of the day that seriously. Either that or he was so enraptured by the joyousness of the music that he lost concentration. It didn't seem to help that the camera person focused on him a little too lingeringly long, only making matters worse. In any case I'm certain he had a stern "talking to" by both his parents and the choir director, and hopefully this won't happen the next time. If there is a next time ;D (It's a small school. It's not that easy to find kids who can sing--lol)

Scent of a Woman is and will always be my favorite movie. Has anyone else seen it? This is my favorite scene, at the end.

Cuomo appears really f-cking drunk in that instance. Is he always like that? Slow-speaking and slurring?

I'm really surprised there was no commentary on this video. I thought it was f-ing hilarious and really clever and entertaining. It cracked me up.

yet again people with known mental issues and no training can easily obtain guns and go about their nutcase business. and any time common sense is raised about deadly weapons after these events the nra-backed gun fanatics rise up to fight it off like, “thul tek owr gunz!” make no mistake this constant gun chaos is deliberate and shameful. after the dc gun violence march i am pretty hopeful the youth were woke on this topic, so there will be some reigning in on amerca’s open market free for all with guns when they can vote.

^ Well, if it helps, she was about as good at shooting as she was at making YouTube videos (talk about some bizarre videos), given that she was the only fatality. I consider this an unfortunate, but small price to pay in order to maintain a fundamental human right - the right to self defense. There's no need to punish other people because people like her exist.

^ why have a drivers license? theres no need to punish people who got somewhere to go.

this is pretty cool and covers the aesthetic of the era well — clips from a cable access tv show of the east village in 1983 — hardcore, fashion & graffiti segments:

I like to listen to this when I have someone deliver something like pizza, etc. and ask them if they are a size 14, have ever helped anyone load furniture in a van, etc. lol.

^ how funny --  i have listened to that lately too.

That's an ambitious commercial for a restaurant themed to naked babies that only has three outposts in Lima.

“To an Ohio resident - wherever he lives - some other part of his state seems unreal.”

That was probably the Golden Age of local TV commercials as far as the amount of effort and polish that went into them.

That last 10 seconds though...?

Selling beer and wine in grocery stores? Won't someone please think of the children!

Those Quakers and their archaic alcohol laws!

“To an Ohio resident - wherever he lives - some other part of his state seems unreal.”

I remember when the Wheelersburg Kroger applied for an alcohol variance in the dry part of Scioto County where it is located. Alcohol can only be sold within the Portsmouth city limits for miles and miles around. Letters flowed into the newspaper with that kind of rhetoric. Also you won't be able to buy groceries without some drunk stumbling into you -- like goes on all the time in the rest of the state, right?
