I was thinking, what happened to this guy? I loved his videos. He posted one dated about a year ago from Japan in which he indicated losing a lot of Cleveland content on a corrupted hard drive. He and

Steel Panther.  Semi-parody band of the 80's hair bands.  They do covers, and some of their own songs, just about all X rated.  Pretty high profile in LA.

I posted Girlschool's cover of "Fox On The Run" on my Facebook, saying you all watch your fox, I'll watch mine.

Good for Halloween,

Just post the YouTube link, no formatting or additional code needed.

That irving spot is funny.

Tip for parents:  the kids adore the Ylvis video.

Well timed, because my daughter's taste for Korean pop was leading to age inappropriate dance moves....

There used to be technology called "The Cone of Silence"

I thought all us rail/transit nerds would like this :D . KJP - someone should make a GCRTA transit music video

^thanks, interesting. And I would be remiss if I failed to once again post this treasured holiday classic. Whatever happened to Slack Jaw? Weren't they from Youngstown?

The people of the city have spoken loud and clear...

No special reason why I'm posting this. Just listening to 70s songs on YouTube and came across this nice video of the Edmund Fitzgerald backed by the famous song of the same name by Gordon Lightfoot. I didn't realize that half the men on board the ship came from Ohio, including one from Richmond Heights (next to Highland Heights where I used to live until 1978) and another from Lakewood (where I live now). I remember the ship was on its way to Cleveland when it went down. The ship sank in 1975 when my father was 46, the same age I am now. Enjoy the video about a piece of Ohio history....

Reading a story about the gubernatorial campaign brought it to mind?

I know you don't drink, so it wasn't due to a GLBC induced hangover.

This is a favorite train-photography spot in Devon. Ironically, I stayed nearby here in Torquay only a month before this storm, causing massive waves along the English Channel. A week before our trip, Cleveland was hit by a blizzard the traveled across the Atlantic and hit the British Isle only a couple days before we arrived. So there was a bad storm just before our trip and a bad storm after our trip. But the weather was great during our trip!

Anyway, check out the massive waves hitting the trains along this section of track which combines the London-Plymouth-Penzance national route and the Bristol-Paignton cross-country route....

I wasn't sure where to post this but I know some people here are "into" this sort of thing. This is a video of the old Rayon plant in Painesville, long abandoned. I didn't know it was still standing. Anyway, it was done partly by a local photographer, Johnny Joo (who specializes in urban exploration and whose excellent work I've posted on the Steele Mansion thread). This is kind of depressing, but well done. At least the Rayon is no longer emitting harmful pollutants. It's been linked to high incidences of cancer in the immediate vicinity...

I saw it  when it came out. After the first episode (a 2-hour movie), I didn't watch it again. It was way to campy for me even as a teenager.

Millennials born in the early '80s always fall between the cracks in these generational generalizations.

I remember the damn '80s. I remember epic playground arguments over the bizarre dichotomy of Ninja Turtles vs. New Kids on the Block. I remember the "more than meets the eye" kid in GCrites80s's avatar. Teddy Ruxpin, Dukes of Hazzard, young Madonna, black Michael Jackson.

Mike Douglas was a musician, so don't let his 'squareness' fool you. He knew exactly what he was getting when he booked Frank Zappa.

The Cincinnati news put this in Dayton. The Dayton news put it in Springfield. Someone from Springfield told me it was in Tipp City.

whatever
