there's a mewithoutyou song with the line: I'll live without you love, but what good is one glove without the other

I thought it was clever, I've used it for various screen names since I was like 15, I didn't really think about how emo or Michael Jacksoney it sounded. I think I actually wanted to use some other line but it was already taken, so since I just wanted to get contributing, I just said the first screen name that popped in my head. I'll probably request a change sometime in the future.

It has to do with the Buckeyes and is my current Ohio State License plate.

3231    --it is the numerical portion of the address of my childhood home.

It's the name of the eccentric billionare on Newsradio (my favorite character on my favorite TV show back when I started posting in online forums).  I'm not a billionare yet, but... :-D

I like the Indians.  There, it's out.

Damn and I made a bet that you were an Indian!

Nope, 100% Italian.

Stands for: Cats Rummaging Among My Excess Rations.

I have a bunch of strays in the neighborhood; they get into my garbage cans a lot.

No one will ever know!

Umm, a North Campus street in Ann Arbor?

God, no. lol.  Athough I did recently discover there was a Hayward Ave up there

It's a sport I invented in Chicago over 20 years ago. Get on the subway in the Loop and stand for the 8-mile, 30-minute ride to Rogers Park without holding on: Urban Surfin'. Of course, it never caught on. I don't know anybody else who played it. It was my own personal national game.

I might just try that out next time I'm in Chicago.

I'VE TOTALL PLAYED THAT!!!  I never called it Urban Surfin, but I've done it numerous times.  I got all the way from Howard station to the loop on the red line without moving a foot once.  It was AWESOME.  We should have an Urban Surfin tourney next time I visit ChiCAgo.

My name was given to me in middle school for use district wide to access anything.  It was also mye-mail address for school related e-mail...so I had to know it well back then.  In high school my school given ID was Knee87And206J7521, which is my last name, birth year, first 3 of my first name, TAC # (TAC = Homeroom,) middle initial, and last 4 of my SOCIAL SECURITY #.  WTF kind of system for naming people is that?  I had to memorize and use that piece of crap screen name all through high school.  I decided to use my middle school name for forums because the high school one is ridiculous beyond belief.

Lately I've been using ProkNo5 for stuff because it's starting to freak me out having my actual name out there.  ProkNo5 is short for my favorite piece of music, Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5.  I first fell in love with it when I heard my mother play it with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra when I was 7.  It's stood the test of time with me and is still my favorite.  I'd change my name on here too, but I can't figure out how you do that without scrapping everything.  I'm sure it's easy, I haven't really tried hard to figure it out.

When I discovered this website and forum, I had just gotten back from a Missions trip to Southern France, where I was given the nickname SlipperyFish.  I had just finished swimming near the l'Opera Plage in the French Revierra when one of the guys in my group said, "Jeremy, you are one SlipperyFish." and the name stuck.

You were born in 87....ugh  you whippersnappers!

My friends are constantly making fun of me for having too much "cleveland pride".

I'm thinking of going with something a little more original.

You guys seen "Varsity Blues"? I was also a backup qb in hs who took over for the injured starter all the while playing for an a$$hole coach.

"I DON'T WANT..YOUR LIFE"

Mine comes from the 1987 SI cover story on the Tribe

^Dude, Cory Snyder was THE MAN. What an arm.

If anyone doesn't remember MTS's story about cursing a DJ Orion in NYC on the third page, my SN comes from an alias I came up with when I was making trance/house music.

"It has to do with the Buckeyes and is my current Ohio State License plate. "

Guess I'm not the only one:

"Dude, Cory Snyder was THE MAN. What an arm."

The Arm was Mark Whiten.  A friend of mine and I saw his first game at Muni.  On a routine throw back into the infield we looked at each other and said:

Mine is my first name, the first two letters in OHIO and the age I was when I created the SN (I use Chadoh21 for things other then UrbanOhio).

funny, I thought It was some shorthand for chardon....

I'm in love with the names "TheHemroid" and "Hootenany".

Anytime I see a post by either of the above, I chuckle!

Mine is so obvious.  I'm always giving someone "my two cents (sense)" whether they ask or not!  LOL

I know its hard to believe, but I'm very opinionated.  HA!  8-)

What happened to your other three sense?

They are hanging out with the other letters of the alphabet, you chose to ignore!

And where are those?  Are they hiding behind your extraneous comma?

In college I was kindof a morning person, which didn't work out well since none of my friends were. So they kept me up late quite often and I developed a reputation for my attitude late at night.

(No, I don't look like the dwarf.)

HUSH!  lol  (good one)!

I think the same thing.

mine is from when I studied Architecture...err Architorture occasionally.. while in Florence, Italy in 1998

my current avatar is curtis sliwa, former mcdonald's manager and infamous head of the guardian angels. they are many stories, but my fav is the one where he took five bullets from a gotti goon and gave the guy the finger. he's quite a colorful character. no other reason other than i was tired of cle sports lately.

Mine is a combination of a high school nickname and the fact that when I first got to college I was in an early acceptance program to Case Med School....  I decided not to go to med school and get my Ph.D. instead, so it still applies!

I was born and raised in Cleveland, and now live in Las Vegas. You can see how hard I tried to be clever.

first initial + middle initial + last name :|

Blessed w/ decently cool initials

Birthday... I spent a long time trying to come up with something clever and I couldn't.

First initial of my first name. First initial of my middle name. Year I graduated college.

Blow....your.....mind.......

Prokofiev's Symphony No. 5

Still my favorite piece of music.

high school, year graduated...generated when I signed up for a high school football forum many, many years ago.  easier to just keep screen names all the same so I don't forget.

Seaholm High School?

Nah...

I should also mention that people tend to misspell my name teastell.  As if I named myself after an addiction to tea.

My initials.  I know that's boring, but it's also how most architects/draftsmen/engineers identify themselves on drawings that they have created or checked.  And, because I'm an architect/draftman, it seemed appropriate.

Mine stems from a nickname my two friends gave me when I was leading them through Sicily.  They wanted to give me an explorer name with an Italian twist (although I think it's more Spanish sounding).  The number was my HS athletic number.

Dayton+Cincinnati. You know its coming.

I must voice my dismay that a person with such ideas went so basic.

Everything else I could think of involved words like Captain and Master.  UnBrick the Windows is one I considered, as well as The Bear, which is my poker playing name.

I made mine up.
