Don't hate!

Everything else I could think of involved words like Captain and Master.  UnBrick the Windows is one I considered, as well as The Bear, which is my poker playing name.

You could have been "The Master Bear"

  • 5 weeks later...

Moonlight, Ohio is the town where I was born.

Er...where is that?  Never heard of it, and I can't find it with a little googling...

  • 3 years later...

JYP is my old college nickname!

“All truly great thoughts are conceived while walking.”
-Friedrich Nietzsche

First initial, last name, 80s. I started an '80s website in the late '90s and the shorthand stuck.

My screen name is what I would name my act if I wanted to join Cincinnati's hip hop scene.

It's what my parents named me.

I should change mine to THE Heights to distinguish myself and my hometown some more from the imposters ;)

But I suppose I couldn't be that cocky when I first signed up.  Same as 327, I think I tried to come up with something witty like my fantasy football names of past years - "No Punt Intended" in 2010, "Winning!" last year, and this year I have predetermined my name to be "FoldingLawnChair" because that is exactly what my teams mimic towards the end of the season for whatever reason.

In the end I went with Hts44121..... "Hts" of course being an abbreviation for Cleveland Heights where I was born and raised.  The 44121 is the zip of the old 'nabe'.  It looked a little bulky and since all of the local areas start with "44" anyways, I dropped those and it became "Hts121"..... I'm too far in to change it now and I don't want to deal with the 'uproar' again that ensued in the name change thread with me chopping off the 4's

Ha ha. My FF name changed to the "No Talent Assclowns" for precisely the same reason. I even have Michael Bolton as my mascot now. Might as well own it.

For here, I was originally going to use my first 2 initials (which I currently have) and my last name, but for whatever reason, when I do that people think I'm some big Al Jolsen (sp) fan.

Best FF name of all time (although I have never had the nerve to use it)..... "off in the woods"

You win either way each week.  Either your team had the higher score.... or the news will be posted that your opponent "[insert team name] beats off in the woods"

CLEburger

Borrowed from the local inclination to combine Cleveland with Pittsburgh.  I'd like to fancy myself as the burgermeister of Cleveburgh.

You don't like mine, complain to my parents. And good luck with that. One was interred in Bethel Church Cemetery, Wells County, Indiana, in 1992, and the other was cremated about a year ago.

TB - initials of a very good friend of mine

Ideon - was in the Jewish youth group Gideon for a few years

first initial last name and birthday.

My College nickname was punchin Pat, or Punch for short, so I started out with Punch.  But then people thought I picked the name to be a toughguy, which is just silly.

I always assumed you were from Over the Rhine, in the Natti

It's "Nati".

It would be thoughtful and a convienience to other forumers if persons changing their screen names would post their former screen name in their custom title or signature line as "FKA whatshisname." There was some discussion about this some time ago and some people started doing it, but people have drifted away from it.

^Robert Pence - where did you get your screen name? I always thought it was pretty wild - out there.

EDIT:  I change up the avatar from time to time.  I added the "formerly known as Punch" to the bottom of the page.

My old street address.  "N Andre. St."

I am a descendant of an ancient ninja clan known as the Nati.

The custom welcome greeting on one of my sister's ex-boyfriend's cell phone (back when any kind of customization on a cell phone was rare).  He was a somewhat scrawny and nerdy dude so I found it amusing.  And it's never taken on any forum.

I figured that you just liked birthday parties.

Mine is my Hebrew name coupled with my birth date on the Jewish calendar (the 19th of Av which is the 5th month).
