Posted August 31, 200618 yr Hi folks, I'll be visiting Greater Cincinnati this weekend for my galpal's wedding. She was thoughtful enough to have it at a winery so it should be a lot of fun. :-D Obviously I'll be taking I-71 so I checked the ODOT site for construction and it seemed like there are a few spots south of Columbus that might be of concern (construction-wise). Has anyone traveled that way recently, and if so - how bad was it? Also, I know there's a game at OSU on Saturday - I'm guessing taking 270 West is the best way to avoid the traffic there? Thanks in advance for any tips! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 31, 200618 yr I travelled to Cincinnati from Columbus a couple of weeks ago and had no problems. I don't think taking 270 will be necessary for you. 71 should be clear, I would avoid 315. Is the wedding at Vinoklet? I love that place :drunk: Have a safe trip!
August 31, 200618 yr I'm only in from Saturday to Sunday, so my spare time will be spent going from rehearsal to rehearsal dinner to the hotel to the wedding to the reception to the hotel and back "up where we belong" ;-) And Cincy-Rise doesn't play on my team! clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
August 31, 200618 yr Mayday, what days will you be in town? stalker I don't know about all that. And Cincy-Rise doesn't play on my team! What team? I currently do not play any sports as of the moment. Well, that doesn't give you much time, does it?
August 31, 200618 yr Unfortunately no - but I'll have my camera and I think the rehearsal is downtown so I'll try to get some pics while I'm there :-) clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram

September 1, 200618 yr And Cincy-Rise doesn't play on my team! If you knew how long it takes him to get ready you might second guess that comment :D
September 1, 200618 yr Monte - at least it works for him! Can you say the same? clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
September 1, 200618 yr And Cincy-Rise doesn't play on my team! If you knew how long it takes him to get ready you might second guess that comment :D Oh, I see how it is ... my boyz are talking about me behind my back now ... mmm hmm. Seriously, Mayday, you should at least find a couple of hours outside your busy weekend to say hi to your fellow OU-ers! I've got a loft right downtown, we could all meet up and then go have some drinks somewhere downtown. This way you don't stray too far. ;)
September 1, 200618 yr I was down that way last week. Only one small spot of construction just south of Jeffersonville, where they are finishing up a bridge project. Other than that, it's clean and green all the way into Cincy. Safe trip.
September 1, 200618 yr It's not Columbus --> Cincinnati you should be worried about. It's Cleveland --> Columbus, particularly Mansfield. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
September 1, 200618 yr Yeah, I was just down that way a while ago - I was just wondering if anything other than that was worth mentioning. clevelandskyscrapers.com Cleveland Skyscrapers on Instagram
September 1, 200618 yr Not really. The only construction (mentioned earlier) is in the Jeffersonville area and people are still doing 75mph through it. It's brief and isn't worth worrying about.
