Vandalia eyes retail hub with land buy

A 200-acre parcel on Vandalia's west side is likely to include a hodgepodge of shops, offices and small houses.

 

That's the conclusion of a marketing study focused on the best uses for the land, which the city agreed in June to buy for $4.3 million.

Hoagland is truly a class act. This is his first year on the job as city manager and he is really stepping it up....go V-town. I really hope that they can find some way to take advantage to the proximity (can't actually get ANY closer) to the airport. I have also heard that they are exploring the possibility of putting another exit along the access road... My inner-ring suburb needs some work and i am glad that someone is planning for the future.

VANDALIA — The city of Vandalia's development plans for the land bordering Airport Access Road are steadily moving along with the March 12 hiring of Kinzelman Kline Gossman, a design and planning firm with an office in Columbus.
