Posted September 8, 200618 yr Buffalo-NE or Cincy-KC? http://www.gribblenation.net/nflmaps/01-CBS.gif Buf-NE! I always thought the other city got the other AFC North Teams on Tee Vee. I mean, Cincy has to endure Cle v. NO on Fox Bahhh!

September 8, 200618 yr Boy, I can feel like I'm back in C-bus. Browns on one station, Bengals on another. I can have a running commentary with my dad and brothers Sunday.
September 11, 200618 yr surely.. kinda melds my mapgeekiness with the NFL ;-) And Adam is continuing what a Canadian, PKirby, used to post on MTR for a handful of years.
September 11, 200618 yr Shows how New York-geared Miami is in that map. bingo bango. miami=sixth borough. interesting map. i wonder whats with those odd-game holes california and texas? could it be some regional corporation owns a block of stations in those areas and just chose another game?
September 11, 200618 yr As for the odd-game holes I can't figure Cali, but as for Texas maybe it has something to do with the Titans being the former Oilers?
September 12, 200618 yr From http://www.gribblenation.net/nflmaps/ How come these tiny specks in Nebraska are getting a different game? One of two reasons: Sometimes a popular player is from a certain area, so the local station there likes to show as many games of his team as possible. This is especially true in college towns. The other reason has to do with the Fox network. Since it's a newer, smaller network, it doesn't have as many affiliates as CBS, ABC or NBC. So there is a national satellite feed called FoxNet that is distributed to cable companies in the smallest markets and other remote areas, which usually carries Fox's national game. I've tried to show as many areas that carry FoxNet as I can on the maps.
