AURORA Omega Polymer Technologies Inc. announced it will be permanently closing its division in Aurora and is expected to terminate approximately 60 employees by November.

 

Omega Polymer is a holding company headquartered in Aurora, which has three subsidiaries: Omega Pultrusions, a custom pultruder; Carsonite International, the nations leading supplier of traffic safety devices; and Viking Plastics, an injection molding operation primarily serving the automotive industry. Aurora - Just a couple of weeks after it filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief, Omega Pultrusions Inc. has filed a notice that it intends to close its South Chillicothe Road plant.

 

However, Mayor Lynn McGill told City Council Monday night there still is hope the plant will remain open for a while longer than previously announced plans...

Firm buys Pultrusions, saves 100 jobs

Aurora - A new company has purchased the bankrupt Omega Pultrusions facility, according to its chief official and president, saving the jobs of about 100 people.

 

Composite Technologies of America Inc. purchased the assets of the former Omega Pultrusions on Oct. 24. The latter had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 5 and announced it would close its doors by year’s end...
