Posted September 9, 200618 yr I was messing around with a tripod and long exposures. These were all taken between 11PM and Midnight.
September 9, 200618 yr amazing lighting effects, kingfish. Had you not posted the times & conditions of the shots, I'd have no idea when or how those were taken. Beautiful shots.
September 9, 200618 yr I was pleasantly surprised. I found that an exposure of about 6-8 seconds gave the quality of what I was seeing with unaided eye. At 10-15 seconds, stuff was turning up that I had no idea was there. Creepy. At a 15-second exposure, the structures seem to give off their own light. The streetlights helped, of course, and it was a full moon. An interesting detail: in shot #3 there's a little curl of light near the chimney on the house on the left. These are the lights of a plane jockeying for landing at CMH.
